Today I went to buy vegetables and chatted with a familiar vegetable stall owner. Midway through, her son came to her and asked in dialect: "Mom, can I have midnight snack tonight?" His mother said, "I said you can't listen." Her son is about 12 years old and has a fat figure, so his mother suggested that he lose weight. When I went to choose vegetables, he talked a lot with his mother. When I checked out, his mother said to him: "I sit here every day to settle accounts, and I don't leave the house. I go at two o'clock every day. I open my eyes and it's here. I don't have time to buy a new piece of clothing, so there is no need to." Her son did not directly indicate that he wanted a new piece of clothing, but she might not understand what her son meant, or she might want to limit her son's extra expenses.
Starting from 4 pm every day, they set up stalls and sell vegetables in a fixed location near the community. They have not changed their locations for several years. Therefore, they are more familiar with the nearby stall owners and customers, and can chat a few home-style words, without feeling strange.
Since the morning when I open my eyes, I am busy with my son and husband's meals. Sometimes my husband can sleep in if I send my son to school. I go to the wholesale market to pick up vegetables from 2 pm. When I come back, I have to sort out and calculate the price of vegetables. I start setting up a stall to buy vegetables at 4 pm. I have never left the stall until after 9 pm. When I close the stall, I have to calculate the loss or profit all day. A simple day was spent like this.
