The term "living in the present" is familiar to everyone, and it seems to be a psychological chicken soup, regardless of certain accomplishments, it is often mentioned. Just like asking others how to achieve freedom of wealth, the other party only answers that you work hard, you ask others how to improve your self-cultivation, and the other party answers you "live in the moment", seemingly giving you the answer.

But how many can you really master? What if the so-called "now" is just a place of chicken feathers? "It's hard for a clever woman to cook without rice", so what should we do?

Therefore, it is very important to correctly understand the meaning of "living in the present". Real mastering can indeed improve self-cultivation, and there is nothing wrong with it.

On the contrary, if you only serve as a bowl of chicken soup, you will inevitably have some pride when the spring breeze is proud; if you walk on thin ice, you will have some negative sinking.

First of all, the word "now" is basically understandable. It is not the past, nor the future, that is, the present. The so-called past, present, and future are only relative terms. The moment you realize the "now", it has become the past, and the future has not yet come.

So what does the so-called "present" of "live in the present" mean? This point is very important. Is it the current environment, the current state, or the current feeling, etc. The answer is wrong. Because people with a little bit of philosophical common sense know that everything in the universe is changing all the time. "Yi" says: "movement and static are constant." Everything is changing and moving. The so-called static is just relative static.

In this case, the "present" certainly does not refer to all the people, things, things or feelings around you, because everything is changing, how to lock the "now" so as to live in the "present" Woolen cloth?

Some people say that they are "living in change" at all times. This is also correct. Not only you, but all of us are living in change, but this is just a phenomenon and cannot improve self-cultivation. Just like saying that the sun shines, it just illustrates a phenomenon that you can enjoy the nutrients of the sun, but it cannot be used as a way to improve self-cultivation.

The so-called "now" refers to the thoughts at this moment,The meaning of the whole word is to observe and be aware of the meaning of one's current thoughts. As for why I say that I live in the present, maybe I want to express that only by living can we observe it.

Then why let us contemplate our thoughts? How to improve self-cultivation through contemplation?

1. All our actions are dominated by thoughts. Before we make a lot of decision-making actions, there will be psychological struggles. Whether to do or not to do it, should not do it, is actually a game between rationality and sensibility. If rationality prevails over sensibility, many behaviors will not be so excessive, that is to say, they basically tend to be reasonable; on the contrary, if sensibility defeats rationality, many behaviors may be "impulsive punishment", because sensibility is influenced by habits and habits. And many other influences. So when we contemplate our thoughts, we deliberately allow reason to join the thinking process, so as to achieve the result of "every evil is not done, all good is done." And this result is the only way to improve self-cultivation.

2. Try it yourself. When you observe and perceive your own thoughts, the thoughts have already run away. At this time, you will find that there is no present at all. Realizing that the present will immediately become the past, and the past has passed and dissipated. Nor does it exist, the future has not yet come, and the future does not exist for the "now." This is what the classic says: "The heart is not available in the past, the heart is not available now, and the heart in the future is not available." This is the way it is. It can be said that our thoughts are like electric currents. They keep coming and disappearing continuously. No electric current stays, otherwise it will block the operation of the electric current.

is followed by the Chinese character "guan", seeing one after another, and seeing it again as "guan", just like a person’s unhappiness in his heart. Happiness is actually "viewing", "people don't know when they use it every day".

And the process of contemplation is the process of searching. What is searching for? The four words of Master Xuanzang in the Tang Dynasty have been explained.

Don’t worry when you start practicing. Start by being aware of your few thoughts a day, and gradually increase.Gradually, there will be gains. Improving self-cultivation is just around the corner. This is the true intention of "living in the present".
