According to Freud 's view, anxiety is a projection from the subconscious insecurity to the conscious level. Therefore, in a neurotic state, all psychological motivations are a series of unconscious thinking and behaviors that revolve around the sense of security. However, when these unconscious thoughts and unconscious behaviors come, we often treat these thoughts and behaviors as objects that can be eliminated quickly, which will make the problem more complicated!
For example, when a person is in interpersonal communication, in the absence of a sense of security, in order to avoid attacks and misunderstandings from others, he always pays attention to his own conversation and appearance, which will form a force that restricts himself. Each of us may have a similar life experience. When we are talking to others, when I suddenly stare at a certain part involuntarily, we will have an immoral idea in our minds, and at this time I can realize these immoral thoughts!
So the mind and thinking intervened and developed logical associations. We were afraid that others would accuse ourselves of being an immoral person. This made us use the mind to suppress this idea. At the beginning, you were very glad to be able to successfully suppress these terrible thoughts. In countless subsequent situations, you also mobilized your thinking to do similar treatments. Your success again and again made you feel good and complacent!
Also driven by insecurity, our minds have some stereotyped behaviors, such as repeatedly washing hands and closing the door, which can indeed relieve our inner sense of insecurity and anxiety, but this process begins to tame our thoughts and domesticate our behavior. Finally one day, constantly restraining our thoughts and behavior has become a nightmare that we cannot get rid of, and the previous anxiety has slowly turned into compulsion.
You can no longer control your mind, and you can no longer control those immoral thoughts. You can repeatedly wash your hands and close the door repeatedly. Because of these domesticated thoughts and behaviors, they have formed a conditioned reflex and are stored in the form of habits at our subconscious level. It is so powerful that you can no longer solve it with your mind. So even if we already know that there are immoral thoughts in our minds, when you restrain yourself, this immoral thought will become stronger. When you begin to realize that you are washing your hands and closing the door, it will become more rigid when you need to restrain this behavior.
This is like the relationship between force and reaction force. In this case, our mind will become more obsessed with each other. In order to pursue a sense of security, we will automatically turn on our psychological self-defense. When we are in a defensive state for a long time, we will obviously feel the tension and tension of our body, as well as the stiffness of our body, just like a rubber band that is in a stress state for a long time, starting to lose its elasticity, and we will lose the ability to self-regulate. We just keep creating problems, and then solve these created problems, and recognize the false as real in our minds and make people disturb themselves.
Therefore, consciousness therapy (TOC) believes that we should not focus on our thoughts and behaviors for a long time, but on these thoughts and the spiritual motivation under the behavior. Only by removing the spiritual support under the subconscious can we truly solve the unconscious thoughts and unconscious behaviors brought about by this. Otherwise, these are not the bull's eye for our healing, but in this process, their power has been continuously strengthened and become obstacles in our lives, reflected in various strange forms.
Consciousness Therapy (TOC) believes that it is necessary to correct the direction of his own healing, and to resolve his own problems from three aspects. First of all, we must allow these unconscious thoughts and unconscious behaviors to appear and live with symptoms. We must know that these thoughts and behaviors are only part of psychological activities. All psychological activities follow the law of binary, which means that they will naturally fade to a certain extent. If we continue to exert force with our minds, they will become more stubborn.
This is like a roller coaster. It will only slowly slide down after the roller coaster reaches the vertex. If we keep preventing them from reaching the vertex state, then it will continue to be on the rising channel. So when we use our minds to resist those thoughts and those behaviors, we inject endless energy into it!
Secondly, we must learn to relieve the self-defense mechanism brought by insecurity and restore the ability to regulate ourselves. When we feel anxious because of insecurity, we will make ourselves tense up and be in a state of escape or resistance at any time. When our ancestors of mankind live on the African savanna and face the dangers that are indeed in the surrounding areas, this defense mechanism will lift us out of danger.
There are indeed not many dangerous events that can threaten our lives and lives in the current life, but the mind keeps sending such a defensive signal. The mind will constantly amplify and process this signal and distort the understanding of the current reality. Therefore, when we realize this, even if the mind constantly creates terrifying scenes for you, you must be brave enough to face it. Then as time goes by, you will find that the mind is illusory, and psychological defense mechanism can be slowly lifted.
The last point is very important, that is, the core of healing. We should not use behaviors and thoughts as the targets and bull's eye for healing. Those are virtual targets, but we should be aware of where the insecurity under these behaviors and thoughts comes from. When you begin to be aware and look at things that once felt insecure in your current cognition, you will see clearly that insecure is just a product of the mind's cognition at that time.
means that the acquisition of a sense of security is to see through the insecurity created by the mind. Only by acting consciously at the moment can you create a new experience, and then you can gain a continuous sense of security. So how can we act consciously in the moment to create new psychological experiences and be aware of the real targets at the subconscious level? You can refer to the following column. Once you subscribe to permanently learn:
When we start to continuously practice the above three steps, you will slowly find that the psychological source that supports those unconscious thoughts and behaviors will be cut off. Those behaviors are only restored to simple behaviors, and those thoughts are only restored to fleeting thoughts. Under the watering of the source of spirit, they will slowly wither!
