My nephew's home is in the rural area of Jilin, and school banquet is also held at home in the rural area. Although he has everything he should have. Not only were the whole village invited to attend the wedding banquet, but the parents who had always been frugal also bought a truck of fireworks and for three consecutive nights. On the last day, the local opera troupe was invited to sing opera to cheer up.
This is not the most luxurious thing. For foodies, a table of delicious food is the best comfort. My nephew's school entrance banquet was obviously very successful. There were more than 20 dishes of meat and vegetables, and there were cold and hot local specialties. The dishes were extremely large and the taste was very good. This was the greatest comfort for the editor, a foreigner, especially the following three dishes are my favorites.
First dish: sauerkraut stewed pork ribs
sauerkraut stewed pork ribs are a must-order on every household's dining table, especially when you eat this in winter, you can add the special big pancake, which is so delicious. However, even in the hot summer, this dish is very popular, and the sour and sweet taste gives everyone a strong stimulation of the taste of losing appetite.
This dish uses a lot of oil. Sauerkraut absorbs most of the oily fragrance. When you eat it in your mouth, you can only describe it as fragrance. Let’s add another piece of ribs, which are soft, rotten, and tender, and they will be whipped off with a light tear. It’s also very sucking juice on the dish. This dish is suitable for all ages.
Second dish: Braised carp
There has always been a saying in China that " carp leap the dragon gate". Carp also symbolizes the meaning of "high school" and "passing the imperial examination" in China, and also brings good luck to the next generation of children. Therefore, carp is a must-eat in the school banquet.
This dish is different from what I usually eat. Maybe it is because my taste is lighter and I feel a little salty when I eat it, but the locals think it tastes just right. I heard from the people next to me that this carp should be eaten while it is hot, and I stuttered with a little salty and fragrant sauce. If the taste is light, it will be just right after eating a bite of white flour.
The third dish: Pot Pork Meat
As a native Jilin people, Pork Pork Meat is a must-eat. The smell of pork that has just been fried out of the pot can be smelled far away. The sour and sweet sauce on it is poured on it, which stimulates everyone's appetite. I picked up a chopstick and put it into my mouth. The skin was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I can only say that people in Jilin are very good at eating it!
In addition to the delicious local specialties at this school entrance banquet, there is also a wine that made me feel quite "stunning".
This wine is called Zunrentai. Later I checked it online and found that the origin is Maotai Town in Guizhou, a pure grain wine with sauce-flavored flavor. When I saw this wine for the first time at the banquet, I felt that it should be very expensive when I looked at the outer packaging. Each table and one bottle, it costs at least 30 bottles. The parents also "expend" to this school banquet for my nephew. Later, I heard from my elders that this wine is good and has a high cost performance.
Usually it sounds like sauce wine from Maotai Town, and it must have a bad taste. Sure enough, the taste of this Zunrentai was "excellent". As soon as I opened the bottle cap, everyone present could smell the rich sauce fragrance regardless of whether they could drink or not. Not to mention that it was quite authentic.
When I poured the wine, I found that the wine was quite obvious and the hops were very beautiful. An elder around me commented that "it was indeed an authentic sauce-flavored wine." At that time, I was thinking that parents had spent money. After taking a sip, the aroma of grain, burnt and flower fruits in the wine will be stir-fried in one sip.
Finally, I checked Zunrentai's ingredients list and realized the winery's intention. The local red tassel glutinous sorghum in Guizhou is added to it for free. Although the cost is high, it cannot withstand the taste of the wine.
