The Drug Evaluation Center of the State Drug Administration and the National Adverse Drug Reaction Monitoring Center recently jointly announced the first list of national medical device adverse event monitoring sentinel points (medical institutions), located in Songjiang Shanghai First People's Hospital, Songjiang District Central Hospital was selected.
It is understood that the national medical device adverse event monitoring sentinel is based on the requirements of the State Food and Drug Administration and in conjunction with the key monitoring work of medical devices during the "14th Five-Year Plan". It is independently applied by medical institutions, reviewed by the city center, and verified and approved by the national center. Medical institutions with medical device adverse event monitoring, safety evaluation, and research capabilities.
In recent years, the Songjiang District Drug and Medical Device Adverse Reaction Monitoring Center has strengthened the monitoring of adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals and medical devices by improving relevant systems, strengthening training and guidance, and consolidating the monitoring network. The construction of monitoring sentinel points has achieved remarkable results. The District Central Hospital has been selected as a national-level sentinel site for adverse drug reaction monitoring and one of the first batch of Shanghai cosmetics adverse reaction monitoring sentinel sites. The Municipal First People's Hospital has been selected as one of the first batch of national-level sentinel sites for adverse drug reaction monitoring. The construction of monitoring sentinel points with full coverage of drug mechanization in the district. Songjiang District Drug and Device Monitoring Center was also selected as one of the first batch of national outstanding adverse drug reaction monitoring units.
"In the next step, we will continue to increase our efforts, guide sentinel units to actively participate in national key research projects, cooperate with national centers and city centers to carry out adverse event monitoring, safety evaluation and related research work, and actively promote the drug mechanization of the region at a point-to-point basis. The adverse reaction monitoring work has reached a new level," said the relevant person in charge of the Songjiang District Drug and Device Monitoring Center.
