"The Lancet Psychiatry" (The Lancet Psychiatry) published on September 21, 2021, "The Prevalence of Depressive Disorders and Depression in China" led by Peking University Sixth Hospital Huang Yueqin Research on the Epidemiology of Health Service Utilization. This research is part of the China Mental Health Survey from 2012 to 2015. The distribution of depression in China is characterized by the prevalence of women higher than men, the unemployed higher than the employed, and the separated, widowed or divorced persons are higher than the married or cohabiting persons. Most patients with depression have social dysfunction. The utilization rate of health services for depression is low, and the rate of adequate treatment is very low. It is necessary for the country to formulate plans to increase the availability, accessibility and acceptability of health resources in order to improve the utilization of health services for people with depression.
