The reason why the case of the murdered postdoctoral department has attracted media attention and caused a sensation in China is that the victimized postdoctoral department is well-known domestic agricultural experts who enjoy the subsidies of the State Council.
The victim was named Zhuang Bingchang. He was born in Junan County, Linyi City in 1957. He received a master's degree from Jilin Agricultural University in 1985. In 2000, he received a doctorate degree from China Agricultural University and a postdoctoral degree from Germany.
Zhuang Bingchang was very smart. When he was studying in Jilin, he published papers before he graduated from his undergraduate degree. After graduating from his doctorate, he published many papers and even academic monographs.
Very early, he was hired from the Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences and served as the director of the Biotechnology Department of the Soybean Research Institute. Significant progress has been made in the field of wild soybean research, becoming a top expert in the domestic industry, and leading a large number of researchers. In order to keep him, the Jilin Academy of Agricultural Sciences built a building for him.
Zhuang Bingchang was already a famous expert in soybean resources at that time. Laiyang Agricultural College tried his best to dig him up, but what everyone did not expect was that such a promising top scientist died on the street the night he came to Laiyang.
The murderer is a two-year-old student in Laiyang Higher Vocational College
On the afternoon of March 12, 2002, Zhuang Bingchang came to Laiyang Agricultural College to report. After settling down, it was already night, but there were still some daily necessities that were not prepared. Although it was already very late, he still left the school gate and wanted to check out the shops in the city.
At that time, it was popular in Internet cafes, and many teenagers were obsessed with online games. That night, two students from Laiyang Higher Vocational College, Li Jinghui and Xu Chunguang, played games in the Internet cafe until they had no money. After discussing, they decided to go out to rob. This is not the first time they have robbed.
Li Jinghui and Xu Chunguang rushed to with their knives near of Laiyang Municipal Government Kindergarten, robbed a single person, and obtained RMB 1,520 and a mobile phone.
At around 11 o'clock that night, the two of them rushed to the door of the Hydropower Office of Chengdongguancun and robbed Zhuang Bingchang who was passing by here with knives. During Zhuang Bingchang's resistance, Li and Xu stabbed him in the thigh with a knife, and ran away with the money. Because Zhuang Bingchang was stabbed into the major artery, he eventually died of excessive blood loss. The

case was quickly solved, Li Jinghui was sentenced to death, Xu Chunguang was sentenced to life imprisonment, and two other members of the robbery gang were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment 10 years and 3 years respectively.
Li and Xu have been in the case in December 2001 and have colluded with two other two to commit 9 crimes, resulting in one death and two minor injuries. All four are Laiyang higher vocational students.
