Public information shows that Zhu Qingqiao was born in March 1968, from Wuhan, Hubei, started working in 1990, joined the Communist Party of China in June 1986, graduated from the School of Diplomacy, with a major in Portuguese, with a university degree, and a bachelor of arts.
Zhu Qingqiao has served in the diplomatic system for a long time. He has worked in the Chinese Embassy in Mozambique and the Embassy in Brazil. He served as deputy director and director of the Latin American Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2017 to 2019, he served as member of the Standing Committee of the Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor. He served as ambassador to Mexico in May 2019 and took office in Brazil this time.
