What will friends in foreign countries think? I sent the book (referred to as the published "Communication with the Prophet") about my mysterious experience beyond sexual jealousy (in English) to several American friends, and in the letter I expressed my desire to study this mysterious experience.
Here are their echoes:
1, Natalie Rogers (Natalie Rogers, a famous American psychologist, - one of the founders of Human-born psychology The daughter of Carl Rogers):
Thank you for sharing your fascinating mystical experience with all of the synchronicities and mystery. I don't think you need to look for a "why". If that had happened to me I think I would just enjoy the mystery and notice if my inner spirit had changed, or if my perspective on life had changed, or my way of living life had changed. I would try to just accept it as a special gift.
Sincerely,
Natalie Rogers

If this experience happened to me, I would just enjoy its mystery and pay attention to whether my inner spirit has changed, whether my concept of life has changed, and whether my lifestyle has changed. I will try to accept it as a special gift.

2, Stella (Stella, American professor of psychology):
Dear Xu Jinsheng,
Thank you for your response. I've read your article and enjoyed it very much. But why are you looking to explain your mysterious experience? If you find an explanation, it won't be mystical Anymore. You might think of it as a gift from a mysterious universe reminding you of the limitations of human understanding. Did you know that my book, The Pleasure Zone: Why We Resist Good Feelings & How to Let Go and Be Happy, has recently been published in Chinese? I'm very happy about that.

I read your article and appreciate it very much! But why do you explain your mysterious experience? If you find an answer, it is no longer mysterious. You may think of it as a gift from the mysterious universe, which is a reminder of the finiteness of human reason. Do you know my work: "Joy Zone: Why should we refuse pleasure & how to let it go, joy appears" has been published in China recently? I am very happy that this book was published.

Regarding your wonderful experience, I think it is best to accept it with gratitude rather than try to find an explanation that is satisfying to the rational mind. The mystery of love always transcends the intelligence.

The three American psychologists above happen to be women. Among them, Nantalie Rogers talked about whether his "inner spirit" and "concept of life" had changed, which was very enlightening. I feel that I have indeed changed a lot in both aspects. The biggest change is the emergence of the concept of "maximum". Stella said, " regards it as a gift from the mysterious universe, and it is precisely a reminder of the finiteness of human reason. " This insight is also very interesting and profound. And Francis Vaughan said " The mystery of love always transcends intelligence ", and the same is generally the same.
They have a surprisingly similar opinion in one thing: they all advocate that there is no need to explore this mysterious experience. But I don’t think they can understand one of my ideas: why can’t we explore it? Reason cannot end in mystery, but must surround it, impact it, and approach it.

Your mystical experience could be explained many ways, but I don't know which way is "true." Perhaps when we have great fear, need, or wish, our brains function in unusual ways. You have had a stressful life, maybe even from early events before you can Remember, and then from recent events. I know from experience how stressful it can be to fall in love and fear the loss of that person. Jealousy, fear, and the yearning for beauty and love can have proven effects on us.
I did some editing of your article to try to make it more readable. But it needs a little more poisoning. I have attached it to this email. I don't know where it might be published. I will ask some colleagues. Maybe in a Transpersonal Journal. Have you sent your article to Ken Wilber? He might like to know that you found "Grace and Grit" helpful.

Thomas Green is an American psychology scholar who started communication as early as 1985 and has not interrupted contact until now. In 1987, I published an article in the Journal of Human Psychology, which he edited. Judging from this reply, he is trying to explain from my subjective situation, namely, the upper left quadrant in Ken Wilbur's four-quadrant theory. His reply made me further aware of the tremendous pressure and motivation of my understanding with Master J. Without "a lot of pressure" and without the high concentration of energy, it is difficult to get along with people with high energy.

Ken Wilber's response is what I value the most. I know he is very, very busy. So his reply made me happy and somewhat disappointed. I was glad that he received and read my article, and even expressed his feelings. A little disappointed that he did not express any more specific opinions. Don't know why this is? ——Before this letter, we have passed about six letters. Four of them were about the copyright of the book contacting him, and two were about asking questions about the ideas in his book. Among them, he gave serious and simple answers to my questions. At that time, I expected him to give some ideas about studying mysterious experiences, and even talk about the relevance of this experience to his theory. Because for him, there is no restricted area for research. ——In fact, not talking about opinions is also a kind of opinion. He reminded me that God had given me such a wonderful gift, and how to enjoy and interpret it can only be my personal business in the end.
Ken Wilbur is a very spiritual psychologist with an unforgettable, very shining and enviable love experience. But I tried my best to search for his works, including his autobiographical works, but I did not find that he mentioned similar experiences. Perhaps, the reason why he did not make a more detailed comment on my experience was not only because he was too busy and rigorous. He himself did not have such an experience, and it is difficult to comment on what he had not experienced before.
Ken Wilber's theories are very rich, especially his theories on spiritual development, the depth and breadth of the whole son, - these theories directly influenced me and became one of the subtle factors that produced that mysterious experience. His theory about four quadrants actually provides a good solution for studying mysterious experiences: look at this event from all four quadrants. The so-called four quadrant refers to the upper left quadrant: psychology; lower left quadrant: culture; upper right quadrant: behavior; lower right quadrant: society. He believes that any event can be studied from four quadrants.
From the theory of the four quadrants, my exploration of this event has been mainly carried out in the upper left quadrant so far. Its situation in the upper right quadrant is not yet studied, and its significance for the lower right quadrant and the lower left quadrant also needs to be explored.

This experience cannot be taught. It is a gift that is given and then after an unexpected moment to an unexpected people as an unexpected gift, not always give to the best person, that is very strange, people are overcome by this. There was a famous German mysterious Jakob xxxx said you cannot teach it.
If you look at the New Age, there is a lot of mystical work, usually they are not very close to life. I have quite a few friends that had been in this and go beyond it and they don’t want to talk about it. Quite a few they go this way, so it is very strange to me.

If you look at the new era movement, there are a lot of Mystic works, and they are usually not very close to life. I have several friends who have ever had, beyond it, and they don't want to talk about it. I feel very strange when many people do this.
This is a record of a conversation we had in Beijing in August 2003. His views are similar to those of the previous American friends. But I have different opinions. He believes that "the new era movement has a large number of mystical works, and they are usually not very close to life." I think my thinking has nothing to do with the "new era movement", but is closely linked to my life. Because of this, I have to explore. This is also described earlier.
