Backbone training class
In order to improve the service level of Jinwan District mentally disabled service talent team, it is guided by the Political and Legal Committee of Jinwan District Committee, sponsored by Jinwan District Disabled Persons' Federation, and Jinwan District Psychological Care Association The "Positive Psychology, Caring for the Disabled" key training course hosted by the Jinwan District Disabled Persons' Federation started on the morning of July 8, 2022 at the Sanzao Town Work Therapy Station! This training was delivered by Professor Zou Yachao, President of the Jinwan District Psychological Association. 28 staff members from the Jinwan District Disabled Persons’ Federation, the Physical Therapy Station for the Disabled, the Wellness Center for the Disabled, and the Integrated Comprehensive Project participated in the training.
Professor Zou first reshaped everyone’s understanding of mental illness:
1. Mental illness is a chronic (lifelong) disease, and the recovery effect is best in the community and family.
2. Mental illness is a disease with effective control drugs.
3. Psychosis is an episodic disease (induced by seasons, events, emotions, and there are signals before the attack).
goes on to popularize the basic knowledge related to mental illness:
emphasizes that the prominent manifestations of brain-related diseases and problems are interpersonal disorders (cannot get along with oneself and with others).
The types of broad mental illnesses include schizophrenia ; personality disorders; mood disorders; neurosis ( depression , obsessive-compulsive disorder, hypochondriasis , phobias, anxiety disorders); psychological disorders; psychological problems; physical and mental diseases etc.
Mental illness in the narrow sense is schizophrenia. Atypical schizophrenia patients are similar to normal people, but have severe interpersonal difficulties; typical schizophrenia is characterized by nonsense, nonsense, and random thoughts.
Finally, Professor Zou used concise language and combined with wonderful cases to share how to make accurate psychological judgments in actual work and some early warning knowledge about the onset of schizophrenia.
The lecture, which lasted more than two hours, was both theoretical and practical. It had strong guiding significance and made the scene full of laughter.
trainees were very focused, and most of them took notes carefully. 57.14% of the trainees said they were very satisfied, and 39.28% of the trainees said they were satisfied. The trainees reported that they had received new knowledge and concepts in this training, and many trainees gave feedback. The lectures are "very good, great", "continue to be held, one time is too few", "want to learn more", "participate in more trainings with this kind of content", "hold more similar lectures", and hope to participate in "practical skills learning" and "case analysis" "and practical operations", "drug side effects", "specific solutions to this type of mentally disabled people", etc. He said that this was the first time he heard a lecture to popularize mental illness knowledge, and he benefited a lot. This knowledge will be useful for serving people with mental disabilities in the community. It has been of great help and laid a solid foundation for comprehensively improving the quality of services for mentally disabled people in Jinwan District.
