"Tai Chi is not practiced, but raised!" This is what Yongnian Wu-style Tai Chi famous Yao Jizu said!
Mr. Yao Jizu (1917-1996), a native of Yongnian City. He loved martial arts since he was a child. In his early years, he studied martial arts Tai Chi with Hao Yueru (Wen Gui), son of Hao Weizhen, in the Yongnian County National Martial Arts Center. After Hao Yueru went south, Yao Jizu followed Li Xun as his teacher and continued to learn Wu style Tai Chi.
Yao Jizu is modest and cautious, with superb boxing skills. Teach the students to be approachable, persuasive, explain the profound things in a simple way, and tirelessly teach others. He has good writing skills and a high level of Tai Chi theory. He has published many papers in related journals and proposed his improvement of Tai Chi teaching methods and practices.
Yao Jizu said, "Taijiquan is not practiced, but cultivated." From the theory of Taijiquan, "qi is cultivated directly and harmlessly". What is direct cultivation? Straight is not stubborn, but smooth. No matter whether you move the frame or push your hand, don't try your best, don't be angry. Don't work hard, don't hold your breath. Especially in some punches that are not easy to relax, such as being more independent, you should pay more attention.
Yao Jizu believes that Taijiquan push hand does not advocate collapse and explosive force, but advocates support. Even if the force has started, it can change and expand. Strong desire to send out like a spring, and desire to receive is like an electric switch. If you don't practice support, your hair is thin and you can't get long. Based on strength, it is more crisp and thick when exerting strength. You can't just use fierce energy, otherwise it will be difficult to control the strength, and you cannot "the size of the power is equal." Yao Jizu's boxing theory can be summarized in three sentences: "The mean is the body, the use of nothing is the purpose, and the vitality is the purpose."
Yao Jizu was rated as one of the "Thirteen Famous Taichi Masters" in the Wuhan International Taichi Sword Observation Society, and one of the 13 "Tai Chi Masters" in the International Tai Chi Annual Conference in Wen County, Henan Province. He was full of peaches and plums. In his later years, he compiled and published the "Wu Family Tai Chi Quan Book".
