On the way to bid farewell to his sixties and rushing toward his seventies, I often review, who has the greatest influence on me in most of my life or can be called a lifelong teacher? After thinking about it, it was still my grandma.
My grandma was born in a countryside in the southwest of Huaiyin County called Erzhuang. She was wrapped in small feet and couldn't recognize a word for her whole life, and she never had her own name. However, such a humble person is a monument in my heart and has the greatest influence on me.
The influence of grandma on me, of course, comes from her education on me.
Grandma has no textbook or lesson plan for my education, just a few words and her actions.
When my grandma married my dad, there was no ridge in our house and no house. My dad worked as a hired worker in a wealthy family in the family. Grandma said that with their hard work and frugality, after about twenty years of hard work, she transformed from a hired farmer into a self-sufficient farmer with seven acres of fertile land, several thatched houses, and a ox. This is also an example of a successful life in an era when productivity is extremely low and the world is not peaceful.
Why can grandma and the others "success"? In her words, it is " is diligent and profitable, and only diligent can benefit ". There is another sentence: " saves one bite a day, and one bucket of a year." In grandma's dictionary, there is no word "diligent and thrifty", but it is deeply rooted in the essence of "diligent and thrifty".
Grandma's education on me is not only verbally, she is always good at taking advantage of the situation. I remember when I was about eleven or twelve years old, my grandma and I were picking edamames and selling them. After we picked edamames, my grandma suddenly asked me to pick the very shabby beans on the bean straw, put them on the basket, and give me a scale, asking me to "learn to sell". Even if I can't sell them, I will just be "practice". That time I really went to "sell edamame" with my grandma. It was really strange that some people wanted those not-full beans. I actually got 50 cents for the first time in "doing business". How much could I do at that time? A pencil costs only two cents, and a bargaining fried dough stick is five cents (the sesame cakes and fried dough sticks bought without food coupons are called bargaining)!
Since then, I liked "doing business" and often went to the streets to sell fruits, vegetables and other crops produced in my own land. I have a "live money" than ordinary friends. Even though I later had the job of private teachers, I still like to use my spare time to "speculate". In that year, it was illegal to sell goods from Place A to Place B with cool labor to sell goods, which was called " speculation and counter-trial ". In fact, "speculation" was too tempting at that time. Sometimes the profits sold at one time were equivalent to the salary of a private teacher for a month. It was not until later that I overturned my car due to long-distance sales that I completely bid farewell to my part-time business career.
If I can't be too late yet, it has a lot to do with the secret of "diligence and hard work, diligence will make you profit" given to me by my grandmother; therefore, I still can't stand the so-called "lying flat" young people. I think no matter what kind of dilemma is, I have to find a way to design myself and do my best to improve myself, because " living people will not have green grass in their mouths" - this is what my grandmother often says to me.
