Why do babies sweat a lot when they are hot?
This should be a question that many new mothers have!
This has something to do with the baby’s development!
The first thing is sweat glands. Let's look at our adults. Sweat glands are found throughout the body and are mature. The whole body may sweat, and the sweat glands in the armpits are denser, so sweating will be more.
But babies are different from us. In contrast, the sweat glands on the baby's head are more active. When he feels hot, the sweat on his head will be more obvious.

It is for these reasons that babies like to sweat on their foreheads, and their heads are always wet with sweat.
As summer enters, how can we let our baby sleep refreshed and sleep until dawn?

Key 1: Calm down and let the baby calm down
If the indoor temperature is too high and you wear thick clothes or a quilt when sleeping, the baby will feel very hot, sweat profusely, and even wake up from the heat.
In this case, consider opening windows for ventilation and turning on the air conditioner.
Generally, the room temperature in a baby's room can be controlled at around 24°C. If it exceeds 26°C, the air conditioner can be turned on.
Like my home, because I bought a new air conditioner last year, I now turn it on at 26℃ and open the windows to make the room cooler and the air better.
But here are some reminders for mothers:
Please do not blow the air conditioner directly towards adults and children;
Do not close the windows and turn on the air conditioner 24 hours a day, and open the windows frequently for ventilation;

Wear long clothes and long pants for the baby when the air conditioner is turned on;

Key 2: Choose comfortable and breathable clothes and bedding
In the hot summer, many parents will choose mats for their babies. Mothers should pay attention to the material when choosing to see if it is suitable for the baby.
For example, linen seats, rattan seats, and ice silk seats are all good choices, but they must be purchased from regular channels.
It is best to choose breathable pure cotton materials for small mattresses, small sheets, small quilts, etc. that babies usually use.
The small clothes that babies wear when sleeping should also be light, soft, breathable and sweat-absorbent!
If it is not hot enough and you can turn on the air conditioner, you can wear a short jumpsuit to expose your arms and calves to protect your belly; but if you sleep with the air conditioner on, you can cover it with a small quilt, a small gauze bath towel, etc., or simply wear a sleeping bag to sleep .
