Professor Peng Kaiping, Dean of the School of Social Sciences of Tsinghua University, conducted a survey on teenagers, wanting to understand the impact of the repeated epidemic on children's psychology. The results of the
survey show that the epidemic has a greater psychological harm to teenagers than we imagined, and mainly reflects the characteristics of "four no's".
1. There is no motivation to learn, and without parents and teachers, children don’t like to read.
2. No interest in the real world, addicted to games, short videos, various social media, and no interest in real people and things.
3. Socialization is incompetent, unwilling to take the initiative to socialize, and unwilling to take the initiative to expand your social circle.
4. No feeling about the value of life.
In the past three years, parents may feel that the most direct feeling is the pressure brought by endless online classes, but for children, they may be much more affected than adults.
They are in a critical period of maturity in their three views and personalities. The sudden outbreak of the epidemic has indeed disrupted the pace of their growth and laid many hidden dangers.
Research shows that children who grow up under the epidemic have a higher probability of anxiety, depression, and emotional out-of-control.
So in this case, parents should pay special attention to their children's emotional changes and mental health, take their children to contact nature on weekends, appropriately reduce their academic pressure in daily life, communicate more with their children, and let their children feel the love of their parents and the beauty of life through targeted efforts, thus giving children the ability to accept various lives peacefully and minimize the impact of various external environments on their children.
