Preface

Han Wei
In 1992, the life of the founding lieutenant general Han Wei came to his last end. Before his death, he murmured to his son:
"I can't do it...my ashes will not be put on Babaoshan , you will send the ashes to the western Fujian Revolutionary Cemetery..."
son Han Jingjing asked him: "Dad, should you leave a part for Beijing? We can commemorate you and sweep your grave?"
Han Wei shook his head: "No, I'm sorry for them and their relatives. I can't be with them alive, and I have to be with them even if I die..."
Han Wei said to Chairman Mao: I am a soldier leader, too big and too big, Han Wei is lucky. The initial stage of his revolutionary path is right next to Chairman Mao.
1922, Anyuan began to carry out the workers' movement. 16-year-old Han Wei decided to give up the hard-earned opportunity to go to school and enter the factory to be an apprentice.
The decision made Han Wei's father, who was a blacksmith, was very angry. After dropping out of school, Han Wei quickly participated in the workers' movement. It was also at this time that he met Chairman Mao.
1924, after joining the regiment, Han Wei was assigned a task to travel between Anyuan and Changsha twice a month, and acted as a traffic officer in the name of borrowing books.

Chairman Mao in his youth
At that time, Chairman Mao was the manager of Cultural Book Club . Once, Han Wei was stolen on his way to Changsha and he came to Changsha with hunger.
As a result, Han Wei fainted as soon as he walked to the door of the book club.
After seeing this, Chairman Mao quickly helped him up and gave him some million cakes. Only then did Han Wei calm down. The two of them met because of this.
At that time, Han Wei's name was Han Xunqin, so Chairman Mao would call him "Qin Jiazi".
years ago, as warlords suppressed the workers' movement, the Anyuan Workers' Club collapsed.
However, Han Wei's revolutionary heart is very firm. In order to find an organization, he ran from Anyuan to Changsha, and later came to Guangzhou, the center of the Great Revolution.
At this time, Zhou Enlai happened to use his identity as director of the Political Department of the Whampoa Military Academy to persuade the school to agree to allow a group of young people without graduation certificates and who are not qualified to apply for the Whampoa Military Academy , but they have lofty ambitions and a certain education to obtain admission qualifications through the written examination.
Because of this opportunity, Han Wei became a student at the Whampoa Military Academy.
During the Northern Expedition, Han Wei was incorporated into Ye Ting's independent group . After the troops conquered Wuchang City , Han Wei became the intern platoon leader of the recruit battalion of the 24th Division of the Independent Regiment.
Unfortunately, the 24th Division's new recruit battalion failed to catch up with the 24th Division to participate in the Nanchang Uprising.

Zhou Enlai
On the way, Han Wei and his team met the Wuchang National Government Guard Group led by Comrade Lu Deming , and a small number of people under the Chen Bojun Teaching Group of the 6th Huangpu Period. They combined together and re-formed the guard group.
Subsequently, the regiment participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising led by Chairman Mao, and Han Wei was appointed as the platoon leader. After the failure of the Autumn Harvest Uprising, Han Wei led more than a dozen surviving soldiers to Liuyang County to find Chairman Mao.
At that time, Chairman Mao was giving a speech on the playground of a school in Liuyang County. Among the crowd, Chairman Mao recognized Han Wei at a glance.
He shouted to Han Wei excitedly: "You are the little trafficker who sent me a letter when the Anyuan workers went on strike!"
Seeing that Chairman Mao was about to jump off the podium, Han Wei quickly pushed away the crowd, squeezed in front of Chairman Mao, and shouted loudly:
"Report to Committee Mao, Han Wei, the first platoon leader of the 9th Company of the Third Battalion of the Revolutionary Army, come and report!"
Chairman Mao happily said yes.
Because Han Wei is familiar with the Pingxiang area, he volunteered to defend . Chairman Mao asked him to take two people ahead, see off, explore the way, and convey orders.

Chairman Mao
After the troops reached Sanwan, Chairman Mao adapted the various problems existing in the Autumn Harvest Uprising troops. After the adaptation of
was completed, Han Wei bid farewell to Chairman Mao and came to the second company stationed in the Great Bay to report.
1929, during the march towards Gannan , the Kuomintang suddenly stole the camp. In an instant, gunfire sounded and bullets flew around. After
escaped from danger, Chairman Mao learned his lesson and decided to form a front-end mixed brigade. Tan Zhenlin was appointed as the captain of the brigade. He recommended Han Wei as the deputy captain of and also as the platoon leader of the guard. Han Wei also became Chairman Mao’s first guard platoon leader.
At this time, although Han Wei is only in his early 20s, his awareness is very high. During the Spring Festival this year, Chairman Mao and Zhu De decided to distribute one silver dollar to each of the troops as their pocket money.
However, at that time, there were 6,008 people in the army, and silver dollar was only 6,000 yuan, which was still 8 yuan short. Chairman Mao, Zhu De, Chen Yi and others immediately proposed that they would not want that silver dollar.
After Han Wei learned about it, he immediately sent his silver dollar back. Chairman Mao persuaded Han Wei: "You just keep this silver dollar and buy yourself a pair of pants!"

zhu De
Han Wei insisted on not wanting it, and asked Chairman Mao: "Why don't you keep it?"
Chairman Mao said: "I am the secretary of the former committee, the party representative!"
Han Wei thought for a moment after hearing this and said: "I am the platoon leader of the guard, and I am a soldier leader at all!"
After hearing Han Wei's words, Chairman Mao expressed his infinite emotion:
"Yes, as long as those who participate in our team can charge forward and enjoy the latter, they will not have to worry about not defeating the enemy!"
The defender of the entire army
After the failure of the fifth "anti-encirclement and suppression", Chiang Kai-shek ordered the Kuomintang army to arrange heavy troops to guard both sides of the Xiangjiang River, build bunkers, and build a fourth blockade with absolute advantage, and attempt to annihilate Central Red Army .
Faced with fierce enemies, the Central Red Army adopted a strategy of "carrying sedan" formation.
In front are the Red First Legion and the Red Third Legion , while the Red Eighth Legion and the Red Ninth Legion are arranged on the left and right front of the team like two sharp knives.
Red Fifth Army walks at the end of the sedan chair, while Red 34th Division acts as the back guard of the entire army at the end of the Red Fifth Army. Its division leaders were basically the backbone of the Red Fourth Army back then.
And Han Wei's 100th Regiment of the Red 34th Division where Han Wei is located is the defender, charging forward and retreating behind.
When determining the candidate for the commander of the 34th Division, Han Wei and Chen Shuxiang gave in to each other, and finally determined that Chen Shuxiang was the commander of the 100th Regiment.

Chen Shuxiang
In order to cover the large army across the river, the Red 34th Division, led by Chen Shuxiang and Han Wei, bravely blocked the Kuomintang army.
When the enemy was surrounded severely, the Red Army soldiers died desperately and fought bloody battles with the enemy.
Although the enemy has strong military strength and well-equipped, the Red Army soldiers have no fear of the enemy at all. They shouted:
"Swear to live and die with the position! Resolutely repel the enemy's attack and ensure that the central organs and brothers force cross the Xiangjiang River!" They defeated the enemy's attacks several times in succession. After all the ammunition was exhausted from
, they fought with the enemy for bayonets and fought in close combat.
A company commander was seriously injured in the battle, and his intestines were blown off by the enemy's shells, but he still led all the soldiers of the company to continue fighting with the belief that we could not imagine...
In the rolling smoke and dust, the soldiers' killing sounds shook the sky. With their incomparable bravery, they withstood the crazy attack of the enemy several times that of ours! During the
period, Commander-in-Chief Zhu sent Chen Shuxiang several "urgent" telegrams:
In this case, the most resolute battle should be fought until the last fighter...
returns the main force as timely is impossible... You must be prepared to develop guerrilla warfare in the period when you cannot meet with the main force...

Zhu De
When the Red 34th Division rushed out of the enemy's encirclement and transferred to Xiangnan , there were still five or six hundred people left.
At a critical moment, Chen Shuxiang ordered Han Wei to lead the main force of the division to continue to break through, and he led more than 100 people from the 101st Regiment as the final cover.
Han Wei immediately refused:
"You are the division commander, as long as you are still there, this division will still be there. I will lead more than 150 people from the 100th Regiment as the final cover, and you will lead the main force to break through to southern Hunan!"
For Chen Shuxiang and Han Wei, they undoubtedly read very clearly what the final cover means. But in the face of life and death, these two noble people and lovely comrades were thinking about leaving their hope of life to their comrades...
Due to the tight time, they didn't have time to think too much. Chen Shuxiang glanced at Han Wei and followed his advice.
So, they hugged each other tightly, patted each other's shoulders, and said "goodbye", and then they divided into two groups to start breaking through.
Han Wei never expected that since then, he will be farewell to his teacher forever!
Under Han Wei's cover, Chen Shuxiang led the main force of the division to pass Miaoyuan. However, just as they were about to cross Guanjiang , they were unfortunately discovered by the enemy who was performing a warning mission.

Xiangjiang Battle related creations
At the critical moment, Han Wei, who was behind, led people to arrive in time. He said to Chen Shuxiang: "You choose to cross the river! Hurry! I'm here!"
said, Han Wei led people to fight fiercely with the enemy.
Unfortunately, Chen Shuxiang was unable to escape in the end because of a abdominal injury and fell into the hands of the enemy.
In order not to let the enemy use his own efforts to seek rewards, Chen Shuxiang took advantage of the enemy's inattention and slashed his intestines from his injured abdomen with his hands...
And Han Wei's side, when he repelled the enemy who was pounced on him again and again and retreated to the top of the mountain, there were only more than 30 people left in the entire regiment.
After the bullets were blown away, grenades were blown away, and seeing that there was no hope of breaking through, Han Wei shouted to the soldiers: "Smash the gun and jump off the cliff!" and then jumped off the cliff.
Han Wei is lucky than Chen Shuxiang and did not sacrifice after jumping off the cliff. Survived with him, an correspondent, and a political commissar.
The three of them dragged their injured bodies and found the comrades who died, placed them one by one, covered their bodies with leaves and thatch, knelt on the ground with a plop, kowtowed three times to the martyrs, and then hugged their heads and cried...

Xiangjiang Battle Painting
Because that place was too dangerous and should not be kept for a long time, they hurriedly dealt with the bodies of their comrades, and set off again quickly to continue chasing the Red Army.
However, before Han Wei caught up with the Red Army, he was betrayed by the traitor and was arrested and imprisoned by the enemy. Fortunately, Han Wei's identity as a Red Army cadre was not discovered by the enemy. Later, when the Kuomintang and the Communist Party cooperated with him, he successfully left the Kuomintang prison and came to Yan'an.
However, Han Wei, who returned to Yan'an, refused to see Chairman Mao for a long time. Chairman Mao waited for half a year but did not wait for Han Wei, so he could only specifically instruct Liu Yalou to let Han Wei come to see him.
Seeing the guard platoon leader who had not seen for several years, Chairman Mao said humorously:
"My guard platoon leader is still the same as he was back then! Not only is there a hair short, but there is a lot more on his chin!"
Hearing Chairman Mao teasing his beard, Han Wei smiled embarrassedly, touched his chin with his hand and said, "I will shave when I go back."
Then, Chairman Mao asked Han Wei why he had not come to Yan'an for so long and had not come to see him. Although Han Wei did not say it explicitly, Chairman Mao knew that he felt that he had not fought well in the Xiangjiang Battle and was arrested by the Kuomintang to go to prison, which was burdened with heavy thoughts.

Chairman Mao
However, in the view of the Party Central Committee and Chairman Mao, Han Wei made great contributions to protecting the main Red Army in the Xiangjiang Battle. Even if he was imprisoned by the Kuomintang, he was very strong. He is undoubtedly a good comrade!
After Chairman Mao’s guidance, Han Wei put down his burden.
Soon, Han Wei took the initiative to ask to go to the front line. Since then, Han Wei has made great contributions to the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation.
Unforgettable Comrades
After the founding of New China , Han Wei was awarded the rank of lieutenant general. For decades after that, he worked diligently and continued to contribute his strength to the development of New China.
Even if the family is happy, I am so happy to play with my grandchildren in my old age. But in fact, Han Wei's heart has always been a pain.
One day, Han Wei's son Han Jingjing came home from get off work and prepared to call his father for dinner.
At this time, Han Jingjing was surprised to find that his father was sitting upright on the sofa in the living room, looking straight ahead, with endless sorrow and sorrow in his eyes. His angular lips were tightly closed, and there was firmness and indomitableness on the corners of his mouth. The scene of
scared Han Jingjing. He didn't understand why his father suddenly became so heavy.

General Han Wei
After asking his mother, Han Jingjing learned that it turned out that the Central Military Commission decided to compile a series of super-large historical materials that completely reflect the history of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the army.
On this morning, two comrades in charge of compiling the historical materials of the Red Army Long March came to General Han Wei's home and asked General Han Wei to write an article about the memories of the Red 34th Division in the Battle of Xiangjiang River. After hearing this request, Han Wei, who was in his 80s, was in a complicated mood. He was both sad and extremely proud. He had two consecutive meals of .
After that, Han Wei spent half a year finally writing that article. On the day of the founding of Army Day, Han Wei happened to receive a notice of the article being hired. During the annual dinner for the whole family, 80-year-old Han Wei suddenly said to his family: "After I die, put my ashes on Minxi ."
When he heard the old man say this, the whole family was stunned: "Oh, what's going on? What's going on? How about you say you're dead on such a lucky day?"
At this time, the family did not realize Han Wei's feelings for minus western Fujian, nor did they take this matter to heart, and just passed it like that.

General Han Wei's later years
Until 1992, Han Wei once again raised this wish to his son before his death.
Considering that my father's ancestral home is Huangpi, Hubei, where there is an ancestral tomb, my son asked him: "Dad, do you want to send some of the ashes back to your hometown?"
Han Wei shook his head and said:
"During the Xiangjiang Battle, all the children in western Fujian I brought out died. I am sorry to them, sorry to their families... If I had led them across the Xiangjiang River and liberated the whole country, maybe the whole country's general county would have been out in western Fujian, Yongding , Longyan ... I am the general who exchanged my blood for my blood. I can't be with them alive, and I have to be with them even if I die... In this way, I can feel at ease!"
's son then realized that his father could not let go of his children in western Fujian in his life. Even if he could not be with him in his life, he would stay with him even if he died...
It is precisely because he had apologies and regrets to his children in western Fujian that when General Han Wei wrote the tactical regulations of the entire army, although he had been to Fuzhou many times, he never returned to the western Fujian that was close to him.
Because, he couldn't bear to look back on it. As a survivor of the Xiangjiang Battle, General Han Wei remembered that his comrades who had fought side by side flew with blood and fell beside him one by one. It was a hurdle that could never be overcome...

Red 34th Division Flag Monument
After Han Wei's death, his son followed his will and sent his ashes back to Longyan, Minxi, where he led thousands of children from western Fujian to the Long March.
When Han Jingjing walked down from the plane with his father's ashes, the two old men in western Fujian, Wei Jinshui, Wu Hongxiang, and many elders Han Jingjing didn't know came to pick up General Han Wei.
This scene made Han Jingjing burst into tears. On the day when the ashes were placed, it was drizzling. Han Jingjing was surprised to find that hundreds of elderly people gathered on the steps outside the ashes.
Han Jingjing asked the deputy secretary of the Prefectural Committee: "Your Prefectural Committee organized such a large scale?"
Deputy Secretary of the Prefectural Committee shook his head: "This is not organized by us. After you came yesterday, it spread for some reason. People learned that the leader of Kuohong was back, and many elderly people came and saw him off!
Hearing this, Han Jingjing's tears could no longer be controlled...

Han Jingjing and his wife worshiped the nameless martyr in the Red 34th Division
20 In 2009, on the 75th anniversary of the Xiangjiang Battle, Han Jingjing followed his father's last wish and erected a "wordless monument" for the 6,000 soldiers who died on the banks of the Xiangjiang River. The monument reads:
No one knows your names, and your merits will last forever - to cover up the Party Central Committee, the Central Revolutionary Military Commission and the main Red Army in the Xiangjiang Battle. The soldiers will live forever!
In addition, Han Jingjing later found the remains of the head of the commander Chen Shuxiang who was cruelly cut down by the enemy.
Standing in front of the commander Chen Shuxiang's monument, Han Jingjing's lover (a descendant of the old Red Army in western Fujian) cried bitterly and shouted heart-wrenchingly: "Big Daddy! We're here to see you! "
Han Jingjing said that Commander Chen Shuxiang has no descendants, no nephews or nephews, and even no photo is left. The only image of
is a sketch drawn based on Han Wei's oral description... During the revolution, countless people like Commander Chen Shuxiang gave their young lives and left nothing. I would like to commemorate these heroes with this article!
