At 12:43 on December 29, 2022, Beijing time, the "Long March 3B" Yao 88 carrier rocket carrying the "Test 10" 02 satellite was launched from Station 2 of the Xichang Launch Site. The satellite successfully entered the scheduled orbit. This is the last launch of the Xichang Launch Site in 2022 and the last launch of China Aerospace this year.
So far, the Xichang Launch Site and Wenchang Launch Site under Xichang Satellite Launch Center have carried out a total of 22 launches this year, including 16 launches at Xichang Launch Site and 6 launches at Wenchang Launch Site, exceeding the total of 21 launches in the two games last year, setting a new record high, and maintaining a complete victory record.
This year, Xichang Satellite Launch Center has undertaken 8 "Long March 2D", 4 "Long March 3B", 2 "Long March 5B", 2 " Long March 7", and 2 "html" missions. There were 22 launch missions of 9-type rockets including 3 Long March 2C, 1 Long March 7A, 1 Kuaizhou 1A, 1 Long March 11, and 1 Long March 8. Among them, the Chang Erding had the most launches, accounting for 36%.
The most important ones are the four manned space launches. The "Long March 7" Yao 5, "Long March 5B" Yao 3, "Long March 5B" Yao 4, and "Long March 7" Yao 6 launched the "Tianzhou 4" cargo spacecraft , "Wentian" experimental module, "Mengtian" experimental module, "Tianzhou 5" cargo spacecraft into orbit. A new record was born. The "Long March 8" Yaoer completed the launch of "1 arrow and 22 stars", surpassing the previous "1 arrow and 20 stars" of the "Chang 6", creating a new record for my country's one rocket and multiple stars.
The new generation of launch vehicles launches are emerging. New generation rockets such as "Chang 5B", "Chang 7", "Chang 7A", "Chang 8", and "Chang 11" have performed a total of 7 launch missions, accounting for 32%, which is the largest number among the three major launch centers. A new milestone, "Tianzhou 5" was successfully launched on November 12, 2022. Xichang Satellite Launch Center became my country's first satellite launch center to achieve 200 launches.
In the future, as the new generation of launch vehicles gradually emerges and the Wenchang Commercial Space Launch Site is put into use, the number of launches from the Wenchang Launch Site aerospace will double, which will push the Xichang Satellite Launch Center to become the satellite launch center with the most launches in China!
