Zhao Wenxiao, female, Han nationality, born in November 1981, member of the Communist Party of China, postgraduate degree, started working in January 2005, currently the director of the Public Prosecution Department of Baoshan City Procuratorate. Due to his outstanding work performance, he has won the third-class merit twice and has been named "Baoshan City Outstanding Prosecutor", "Top Ten Prosecutors in the Province", "Outstanding Prosecutors in the Province", and "Outstanding Prosecutors in the Province".
The Road to the Prosecutor
The choice without regrets
"Choose to be a prosecutor is the most correct decision in my life, and I will go all the way," Zhao Wenxiao often said, but the road to the prosecutor has always been a path full of hardships and challenges.
The prosecutor worked overtime and Zhao Wenxiao worked for 14 years. The public prosecution team of the Baoshan Municipal Court where she is located completed nearly one-third of the city's prosecution business with one-sixth of the city's police force. Zhao Wenxiao personally handled more than 600 cases and more than 1,000 people, no cases handled beyond the deadline, no acquittal, and no violations of laws and regulations. She often goes to the detention center for trial during the day, appears in court, and works overtime to review the papers at night. At night, her window lights are the sparks that have been extinguished in the office building of the procuratorate; on weekends, she often has no time to accompany her family but is in the office with the files. These heavy number of cases has become the cornerstones on her transformation path.

Standards for inspection
"Perform your duties conscientiously in your job, do your best to handle every case, and let the masses feel the fairness and warmth of justice." Zhao Wenxiao has always adhered to this concept of case handling.
In 2011, she handled the first fundraising fraud case of Baoshan . The case involved more than 700 victims and property losses of tens of millions. Most of the victims were gray-haired elderly people, and they were deceived all their savings throughout their lives, and the law became their last expectation. "The elderly cannot be left to have nowhere to rely on them." Zhao Wenxiao worked overtime for a month, patiently answered more than 700 consultation calls from the victims, made more than 20 additional investigation suggestions to the investigative agency, produced nearly 200 pages of the final report, and quickly filed a public prosecution to the court. The defendant pleaded guilty but had no ability to repay. Zhao Wenxiao cooperated with the investigative agency to verify that the main culprit had a company and thousands of acres of walnut forest, and actively reported to the Baoshan Municipal Party Committee Political and Legal Affairs Committee to take the lead in establishing a property liquidation team, and finally compensated the victim's economic losses by auctioning the main culprit's assets.
The custodian of power
As a prosecutor born in the 1980s, Zhao Wenxiao has been fighting on the front line of handling cases. Faced with all kinds of temptations and pleading, she often said: "Power is granted by the people and the law, I am just the custodian of power."
Her brother smuggled yew and was captured on the way. The relatives thought that someone at home was in the case handling department and could get the person out by paying some money and saying good things. When her family found her help to exonerate, she flatly refused. Until her brother was finally sentenced, she did not use her power to seek more than half of her love. For this matter, everyone in the family said that she was heartless and unkind and did not want to deal with her. Although Zhao Wenxiao felt very sad, she always believed that she was worthy of her conscience and did not discredit the inspection emblem on her chest.
Eternal feelings of unprotection
In 2012, Zhao Wenxiao began to be responsible for the city's vacancies work. She led the vacancies team to achieve multiple "firsts" in the provincial procuratorial system. The first procuratorial organs in the province took the lead in exploring and establishing the "judicial organs + universities + professional social work institutions" working model. The first batch of institutional personnel independence in the province has realized the integrated work model of "accusation, prosecution, supervision and defense", and handled the first case of applying for revocation of guardian qualifications in the province.
When working in the verdict department, she met different children with her mother's warmth. In her eyes, there are no bad teenagers, only unfortunate children. They need to be loved, guided, protected, and respected. Every child is the most beautiful flower, and they should bloom in the sunshine. In 2014, she handled a husband-killing case, her mother died on the spot, her father was sentenced to death reprieve, and two underage young girls in the family lost all their support overnight, and witnessed the incident and left serious psychological trauma. Faced with the plea from his father who was detained in the detention center, Zhao Wenxiao said: "Don't worry, the child's affairs cannot be solved well, and this case is not over." After visiting again and again, and advising again and again, the two children gradually became willing to speak, "Auntie, we miss our mother." Zhao Wenxiao held back her tears and told the child: "From today, I will be your relative. If you miss your parents, you call me, but because your father will make mistakes, and when your father corrects the mistakes, he will come back. Although the mother is gone, she will always watch you in heaven and protect you." In order to solve the livelihood of the children, Zhao Wenxiao communicated with the civil affairs department several times, made an exception for the two children, obtained an orphan certificate, contacted caring enterprises to help the children for a long time, and ensured their lives before adulthood. Now the lives of the two children are on the right track. Zhao Wenxiao said: "The destruction of the family and the lack of family affection are irreparable voids that the law cannot make up for. Saving the soul and lighting up hope, we still need to make more efforts."
