Teacher Liu Xiangyun, whose courtesy name is Zixia. Born in 1901, died in the winter of 1962, he is from Liuzhai Village, Menggang Town, Changyuan City. When I was young, I studied in a private school and studied ", Four Books, Five Classics, ". In the early years of the Republic of China, he studied in a new school and graduated from Changyuan Township Teacher (Note). According to his classmates and friends Chen Yingke and Hou Zigong, Zixia is extremely smart, diligent and studious, excellent grades, and generous to others. She is the best among her classmates.
Before liberation, from teaching to politics. Teacher Liu started teaching at Menggang Temple, and taught seniors at the top, and was very popular among students. He said that he was knowledgeable, his lectures were vivid and interesting, and he was easy to understand. He said that he wrote well and had literary talent. He asked him to write alchemy in the village and temples, and asked him to write the inscriptions. He loves students and often sees students around him to ask questions, and he is always tired of it. Once, Zhang Jing, a few classmates in the lower grade, pestered Teacher Liu to ask Teacher Liu to write, and he also explained it one by one, and was so happy that the students danced and joking.
In the 1930s, he managed money and grain in the Finance Department of Changyuan County Government. When he was wise, he was highly appreciated by the section chief Cui Haixiu when he was in charge of money and food. Later, he worked as a secretary and was highly valued by the leaders. Teacher Liu is in politics, has strict law enforcement, is honest and dedicated to the public, and treats people with sincerity. He is an outstanding clerk in the county government and has a good reputation. It is said that the old society was a big dyeing vat, but Teacher Liu was able to keep himself clean and not get infected.
During the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Japanese and puppet governments paid attention to recruiting talents. Someone recommended Teacher Liu Zixia to the Japanese and puppet government, saying that he had managed money and food before the war, was experienced, good at managing finances, and was a general. The county government wanted him to work in the county, but someone whispered to him, but he politely refused. Later, County Mayor Jin Mengzu personally sent someone to visit. After Teacher Liu found out, he hid in his neighbor's house alertly, causing the servants to return in disappointment. Afterwards, Teacher Liu said to the villagers: "I would rather starve to death at home than serve the Japanese and puppets!" His national integrity and patriotism won praise from neighbors.
After liberation, he actively responded to the call of the people's government and devoted himself to the cause of education. He taught Chinese classes in Menggang Primary School, Boyuwan Primary School and Changyuan No. 1 Middle School. He is loyal to the party's education cause, unites comrades, loves students, and works hard. He prepares lessons carefully, teaches and tutors students. He has excellent grades, is praised by leaders and supported by students, and has become a famous Chinese teacher in Changyuan . Teacher Liu often said: "It is said that people who are over thirty years old will not learn skills, but being a teacher cannot be a teacher. You must not be without learning for a day." It is precisely based on this that he keeps thinking and innovating in teaching. Teacher Liu has been teaching primary school to teaching middle school. For more than 20 years, he has used his personality and knowledge education to infect students. It can be said that he is "sowing all the way, fragrant all the way." Teachers and students all admired his lectures and commented: The speaker is interested, and the scholar is interested.
In 1957, Changyuan No. 1 Middle School anti-rightist. This year, the Party launched a rectification campaign. Out of loyalty to the Party, Teacher Liu made suggestions and suggestions on current problems. He put forward some constructive opinions on issues such as grain supply, people's lives and water conservancy. But because he worked as a government employee in the old society, he also had historical problems. The school leaders regarded his opinions as the nature of the reactionary class and took the opportunity to attack the party. After many cruel criticisms and struggles, he was classified as " rightist ", and since then he suffered a ruthless injustice.
After the Anti-Rightist Movement, the leader gave him the punishment: demoted the use, transferred the No. 1 Middle School, and "issued" to Changyuan No. 5 Middle School, 50 miles away from the city to teach. He endured humiliation at the No. 5 Middle School and was still conscientiously preparing and giving lectures without slacking off for a day. As Tao Zhu's poem says: "Even if the nature has been determined, it will still be devoured. The blood turns into green, and the sorrow can always be eliminated." At that time, the teachers and students of the school were in the period of "low standards, melon and vegetable substitute ". They were not full all day long and were malnourished. Teacher Liu was infected with hepatitis disease, and his whole body was swollen, and he could no longer go to the podium. The leaders of No. 5 Middle School asked him to return to the city to recuperate and live in his apartment on Shuangjing Street. The condition gradually worsened and the treatment was ineffective. In the spring of 1960, he completed his life mileage.
Teacher Liu experienced many hardships throughout his life and made due contributions to society. He was a person who benefited the people and was respected by others, but in the end he was killed by the extreme left line. This is due to the times, and it is sad and lamentable!
Later his rightist problem was rehabilitated, but he had been underground for many years at this time.
