October 16 is " World Food Day ". The theme of this year's Food Security Promotion Week is "Ensure the food supply and secure China's rice bowl." On the morning of the 12th, the Experimental School of Huangsheng Town, Zhanhua District launched a World Food Day theme classroom activity.
"Who knew that every grain of food on the plate was hard-working." At 9 a.m., loud reading sounds came from the school classroom. In each class, the teachers led students to watch publicity and education films on food security, and introduced the source of World Food Day, the current status of world food and various types of food knowledge to students. By understanding the close connection between food and our life, environment and the future, students' understanding of food is deepened. At the end of the class, the teachers also taught the students the significance and practices of the CD-ROM action, and encouraged them to practice thrift and refuse to waste.
In addition to this theme classroom, Huangsheng Town Experimental School also focuses on cultivating students' awareness of cherishing food in daily life. Cultivate students' good habits of saving food on a regular basis. The school canteen arranges students to take turns to volunteer in the canteen every day, urging their classmates to not leave any leftovers of food and not waste any grain while eating.
