correct escape method for campus fire
When dormitory, classroom, laboratory, hall, hotel, restaurant, canteen, bath pool, supermarket, etc. are on fire, the following methods can be used to escape.
1, towel and handkerchief cover the nose and mouth protection method
Because the fire smoke has the characteristics of high temperature, high toxicity, low oxygen , and high carbon monoxide , people can easily cause respiratory burns or nerve center poisoning after inhalation. Therefore, during the evacuation process, wet towels or handkerchiefs should be used to cover the mouth and nose (but the towel and handkerchief should not exceed six layers thick). Note: Do not evacuate with the wind, and you should quickly escape to the upper wind to avoid the invasion of fireworks. Because when a fire occurs, too much smoke gathers in the upper space, which is characterized by rapid upward spread and slow horizontal spread. Therefore, when escaping, do not walk upright, and should bend or crawl forward. However, when liquefied oil gas or urban gas fires, crawl forward should not be used.
2, cover and protect
cover the soaked cotton coat, quilt, door curtain, blanket, sack, etc. on your body. After determining the escape route, directly rush out of the fire as quickly as possible to reach a safe place, but be careful to cover your nose and protect your mouth to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
3, enclosure method
If the fire in the corridor or opposite door or next door is relatively large and cannot be evacuated, you can retreat into a room and seal the door crack with towels, blankets, quilts, mattresses or other fabrics to prevent heat and continuously water upwards for cooling. Prevent external flames and smoke from invasion, thereby achieving the purpose of suppressing the spread of fire and prolonging the time.
4, bathroom shelter method
When a fire occurs, if there is really no way to escape, you can use the bathroom to take refuge. Because the bathroom has high humidity and low temperature, water can be poured on the door and on the ground to cool down. Water can also be sprayed out of the door crack to achieve the purpose of cooling down or controlling the spread of fire.
5, Multi-story fire escape method
If multi-story fires, because the smoke fire on the stairs is particularly fierce, you can use the balcony, water slide, canopy of the house to escape, or you can use ropes, fire hose , or you can tear the bed sheet into strips instead. One end is tied to the hook of the pipes or heat sinks of the heating system (hook of radiator ) and doors and windows or other heavy objects, and then slide down the rope.
6, Escape method for forced jumping off the building
If the above self-rescue method is adopted unconditionally, and time is very urgent, and the threat of fireworks is serious. When forced to jump off the building, this method can be used to escape from the low-rise buildings. However, first, you must throw some thick quilts and sofa cushions to the ground to increase the buffering, and then slide down with your hands to reduce the height of jumping off the building and ensure that your feet hit the ground first.
Fire help method. When a fire occurs, you can call out loudly, knock on metal objects, throw fine soft objects, and fire flashlights at night, lighter, lighter to make sounds, lights and other distress signals to attract the attention of rescuers and buy time for escape.
Campus fire prevention measures
Campus is crowded with people, and the consequences of a fire occur. Teachers and students are reminded to learn fire safety knowledge and improve their own escape and self-rescue capabilities.
1, does not store flammable and explosive items in dormitories
2, does not smoke in classrooms, dormitories and public places, do not throw cigarette butts, fire
3, does not use candles and other open flame lighting equipment
4, pay attention to electricity safety, do not use electricity illegally, do not pull wires randomly, use disable electricity
5, does not use electric stoves, "fast heat" and other high-power electrical appliances
6, does not use coal stoves, liquefied furnaces, alcohol stoves and other stoves
7, does not pile up debris in the corridors, and does not burn garbage
Schools should also formulate fire safety evacuation and escape plans based on actual conditions and conduct regular exercises to ensure that in the event of a sudden fire, safe escape can be achieved as soon as possible.
