That year, our family went to Hangzhou to stay for four days. We also visited the family of my high school classmate, Dr. Chen Zhanfeng, and the family of my fellow junior student, Dr. Yang Liping.

One day, my junior sister took my wife to go shopping. She would definitely not take me with her for such a thing. So, I made an appointment with Chen Zhanfeng to go to Lingyin Temple together.

Lingyin Temple, located at the foothills of Lingyin Mountain in West Lake, is the earliest ancient temple in Hangzhou and one of the top ten ancient temples of Chinese Buddhism Zen. It was founded in the Eastern Jin Xianhe first year (326), more than 1,670 years ago. .

The establishment of Lingyin Temple is quite legendary. The Indian monk Huili traveled from the Central Plains to Zhejiang. When he climbed to Lingyin Mountain, he saw a peak in the mountain that seemed familiar to him. He said: "This is a small peak in Lingyin Mountain in Tianzhu. I don't know when it came here. During the Buddha's lifetime, most of them were hidden by fairy spirits." Zhuoxi built a temple at the foot of Feilai Peak, and built five temples in succession: Lingyin, Lingshan, Lingfeng and Lingshun. Except for Lingyin, the other four temples were either abandoned or replaced and no longer exist.

When I was a child, I watched Mr. You Benchang's "Jigong " and I was mesmerized. From that time on, I have been yearning for Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, and I always feel that I must pay my respects to it in the future. So, on the way to Lingyin Temple by bike with brother Zhan Feng, I still felt a little anxious.

When I arrived at the mountain gate of Lingyin Temple, I suddenly lost interest. Because the place was crowded with tourists, and the whole place was full of heads. Countless people were huddled together, pushing forward vigorously, as if they all wanted to be one step ahead of others, making it noisy and chaotic. That situation was completely different from the purity of Buddhism I imagined, and I suddenly had no desire to go in.

turned to look at Brother Zhanfeng. He seemed to have the same idea as me. We looked at each other and smiled, and in unison, we left the gate of Lingyin Temple and walked deeper.

Unexpectedly, a wonderful place, like a girl covered with gauze, gently lifts the veil in the slanting wind and drizzle, and smiles...

That is, Sansanzhu!

Three-day Zhu, of course, is not the real Tianzhu, but three thousand-year-old temples nestled against the mountains deep in Lingyin Temple. Faxi Temple in Tianzhu on the upper side, Fajing Temple in Tianzhu on the middle side, and Fajing Temple in Tianzhu on the lower side.

Starting from the Sanzhu Kongmeng plaque at the entrance of Lingyin Temple, we walk upstream along the Tianzhu River. The gurgling stream, old vines and ancient trees are full of poetry and painting. Along the way, you will pass through Lower Tianzhu, Middle Tianzhu, and the Buddhist Branch of Hangzhou Library, and finally arrive at and upper Tianzhu . Surrounded by mountains and whirling bamboo forests, this place is a truly pure place of Buddhism.

The entire Tianzhu Road is the road to worship Buddha. It is quiet and simple. There are more ancient trees on the roadside than tourists and houses. Our hearts seemed to have escaped from the turmoil here, and from the bustle at the entrance of Lingyin Temple, it suddenly became extremely peaceful.

I don’t know if it was a coincidence, but when we left Lingyin Temple, it started to rain lightly. Brother Zhan Feng and I held up our umbrellas and talked without any support. There were very few pedestrians on the long forest road. There was only the "rustling" sound of the raindrops hitting the umbrella, as if there was a third person following us. Let's chat together.

The third person may be Lay Buddhist Dongpo! Because at this time, Su Dongpo 's " Ding Fengbo " suddenly appeared in my mind: " Don't listen to the sound of beating leaves in the forest, why not whistling and walking slowly. A bamboo stick is easier than a horse, and who is afraid of it? ? A coop of mist and rain let me live my life... "

Fajing Temple in Tianzhu was founded in the fifth year of Xianhe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (330). It has been more than 1,600 years ago and is the only temple in Hangzhou. of nunnery. Along the Foyuan Trail, there are well-proportioned residential shops, especially the Zen-like atmosphere of Tianzhu Xiang City in the past; meandering forward, you can see the forest valleys, cloud shadows and bright sky.

Fajing Temple in Tianzhu is located at the foot of Jiliu Peak in Tianzhu Mountain . The scenery is beautiful. In history, there are "Jiliu Rising Sun", "Hejian Sinking Bell", "Qixingtan Moon", "Yongqing Bamboo Wave" and so on. "The Twelve Scenes of Zhongzhu" are no less than the ten sceneries of West Lake! The Zen Tea Garden located at the foot of Jiliu Peak is one of the earliest places to grow Longjing tea in Hangzhou. The more than 50 acres of Longjing tea field has always maintained the green and pure original leaves, and the taste is sweeter and thicker. This made tea-loving Han feel itchy.

How can you not try Longjing tea when you arrive in Hangzhou?

On the mountain road, the rain was getting heavier and heavier, and it was no longer suitable to continue moving forward. When we saw a tea shop called "Chen Qifang" on the roadside, we stopped and asked the proprietress for two cups of tea. We took a short break to avoid the rain and enjoy tea.

The rain flowed down the mountain road, and there was a hint of coolness in the air. Only the hot tea in the hands and the strong conversation made everything unintentionally balanced. Halfway up the mountain, there are bamboo forests in the countryside, with undulating clouds and mist, and the fragrance of tea. I remember that the poem written by the poet monk Jiaoran to the tea sage Lu Yu once included the sentence "The common people are drunk with wine, who can help the fragrance of tea", but it is suitable for the occasion. !

After sitting for about an hour, the rain has lightened up a lot. We paid for our tea and continued walking up.

Tianzhu Faxi Temple was first built in the Jin Dynasty. It is said that old Hangzhou people like to come here to pray for blessings, and the incense is very popular. There is also a 5-yuan vegetarian meal in the temple, which is vegetarian and delicious. Brother Zhan Feng and I had lunch here. A bowl of white rice and two vegetarian dishes, it feels better than the ginseng wings and abalone tripe in a big hotel. It is very comfortable to eat. "The Buddha smiled when he saw the Buddha, and the temple of the five internal organs was rebuilt in the mountains."

After finishing the fast meal, we sat quietly in the temple for a while, watching the rain pouring, listening to the sound of rain, the distant mountains like black clouds, the rising clouds and mist, and the sound of chanting and Buddhist bells. ~~~

On the way, we made a special turn and went to Fayun Ancient Village. It is not far from Lingyin Temple and was formerly known as "Daoji Ancient Village". As a representative of residential houses in Hangzhou, Daoji Ancient Village has a history of more than a thousand years and is one of the earliest residential gathering areas in Hangzhou. It is said that the deepest source of money in the ancient village is the seat of the earliest county government in Hangzhou - Qiantang County.

Fayun Ancient Village, also known as "Tianwai Tea Village", is famous for its superior geographical location and seclusion. It is hidden in a picturesque valley in Lingyin Scenic Area, Hangzhou. It has been a secluded place for hermits and scholars since ancient times.

Although Fayun Ancient Village today has been transformed into the famous hotel Amanfayun, it still retains the appearance of Fayun Ancient Village in the past. Most of the houses in the ancient village are made of rammed earth walls made of yellow mud and straw, covered with layers of brown flakes; around the stone house foundation walls, cuttings of flowers and trees are used as fences, scattered along the stream.

The quiet village is hidden in the dense forest of the valley, and the sound of bells and chimes echoes, making it an excellent place for meditation. Occasionally, devout pilgrims, laymen, and monks will pass through the Fayun Trail, rest, and listen and comprehend in this secluded village hidden in the city.

You see, God is always fair. No matter how complicated the world is and how crowded it is with tourists, you can always find a place of peace of mind or a place to escape from the world. I don’t feel regretful about not being able to visit Lingyin Temple, because I got everything in Santianzhu.

I came back late after enjoying myself. A friend came from Lishui and gave me a set of tea sets from Longquan kiln and a few bags of Meifeng Longjing. After a brief reminiscing about old times, I hurried back, but Lao Han was quite moved.
