Pharmacist [Prayer] is mostly blue in the folk, which is different from other [Prayer] with golden and red lights.

Regarding why the body of the pharmacist [Prayer] appears blue, there are three main statements:

The first statement is that the blue on the pharmacist [Prayer] is the same blue as the sky. The sky symbolizes light, and light can drive away all darkness.

Therefore, the blue Dharma body of the Medicine Buddha [Prayer] symbolizes the light of its Dharma body and plays a very important guiding role for all living beings.

The second statement is that in ancient times, glass had only blue, so everyone naturally converted the glass light into blue light.

So, he lived in the eastern "Glass" world and was called the medicine master "Glass Light King" Tathagata [Prayer], and of course his body would emit blue glare.

The third statement is that blue originally gives people a sense of tranquility, freshness, mystery and purity, and the blue color around the pharmacist [Prayer] also means that he will help sentient beings to calm down their illnesses and eliminate diseases.

Therefore, the blue color of the pharmacist [Prayer] appears means that he can eliminate all kinds of diseases and pains of sentient beings and restore stable tranquility and beautiful happiness in the world.

03. What are the twelve great wishes made by the Medicine Buddha?

If a person wants to control his own destiny, he must first set his goals. [Prayer] It is said that making a vow is called making a great vow. This "wish" means the same as setting ambition.

According to the "Sutra of the Original Vows and Merits of the Seven Buddhas of Medicine Buddhas", when the Medicine Buddha [Prayer] was in the World Practice Bodhisattva, he made twelve great vows, creating the Medicine Buddha Pure Land, and thus perfectly cultivated the right result and became [Prayer].

The twelve great vows of Medicine Buddha [Prayer] are: the vow of equality between sentient beings and Buddha, the vow of solemn body, the vow of endless enjoyment of sentient beings, the vow of allowing sentient beings to abide by Bodhi, the vow of fulfilling precepts and practices, and the vow of intact all organs;

The vow of obtaining the vow of happiness in this life, the vow of turning a woman into a man, the right view, the vow of practicing the Bodhisattva's practice, the vow of liberating all worries and sufferings, the vow of achieving all happiness in this life, and the vow of satisfying the needs of this life.

In general, these twelve great wishes are "will help all sentient beings to relieve suffering and eliminate all diseases and obstacles."

The twelve great wishes of the Pharmacist [Prayer] are all ambitious wishes made to solve some defects in the real world. They actively show the situation of the ideal world and are of inspiring significance to the world.

If we carefully read these twelve great vows, we will find that what the Medicine Buddha [Prayer] gives sentient beings is not only the method of eliminating physical diseases and prolonging life, but also the method of curing the "chronic disease of ignorance" of people's heart diseases and eliminating the "nine extreme deaths" of the disasters.

Because of this, Medicine Buddha has gained universal beliefs from the public.
