Zen Master Lingyun Zhiqin (birth and death years are unknown), a monk from the Five Dynasties period in the late Tang Dynasty, a Dharma heir of Zen Master Da'an, Changqing, native of Changxi (now Xiapu, Fujian), with a common surname. The first tribute is great, but I haven't realized it for a long time. Shi Changqing Da'an Zen Master served as a pawn seat in Weishan.

One day, Zen Master Lingyun saw the peach blossoms burning, so he realized the truth, and his suspicion in his life disappeared for a while. So he wrote a verse:

"I have been looking for a swordsman for thirty years, and the leaves have fallen and branches have been plucked several times. Since I saw Taohua, I have never doubted it yet."

After seeing his enlightenment verse, Zen Master Weishan repeatedly asked him, and then taught him, "I understand from the fate and will never be lost. I will protect myself."

(There is a monk who raised it like a mysterious sand, and the sand said, "It is so important to be true, I dare to guarantee that my brother has not been there." Everyone doubted this. Sha asked Dizang, "I said this, how did you do your life?" Zang said, "It's not Gui Chen, but he will kill the people of the world." After staying, he went to the hall and said, "All benevolent people will be extremely short. Let's look at the four seasons of grass and trees, the leaves fall and bloom, not to mention that the seven realms of heaven and man, earth, water, fire and wind, are transformed into destruction, cause and effect are about to end, the three evil paths are suffering, and the hair has never been added or decreased, but the roots and roots always exist. Those with the upper roots meet good friends and are always liberated, which is the temple. The middle and lower levels are ignorant, unable to awaken, obsessed with the three realms, and rebirth. Death. The Buddha sets a proof of the heaven and earth, and shows his wisdom and enlightenment. Will you still know? "The monk asked, "How can you get rid of birth, old age, sickness and death?" The master said, "The green mountains do not move, and the clouds can come and go." Asked, "What when the king comes out of the formation?" The master said, "Outside the Chunming Gate, don't ask Chang'an ."

The ancients said that the opportunity for enlightenment varies greatly depending on the person. Some people recommend it, some people understand it from fate, and some people read the scriptures to understand it. All kinds of enlightenment can be realized through fate and the greatest strength can be achieved. Because the understanding from condition requires long-term practice as the basis, it is a qualitative change that occurs when quantitative change reaches a certain level, and it is completely obtained without intention. Therefore, once you understand it from fate, you will never retreat. From Zen Master Lingyun Zhiqin's verse of enlightenment, it can be seen that he had practiced hard for thirty years before seeing the peach blossoms. Without these thirty skills, even if you see peach blossoms every day, you will not be able to understand them.

After Zen Master Zhiqin realized the truth, he soon returned to Lingyun Mountain in Fuzhou to preach the Dharma.

　　A monk under his seat asked: "How to get rid of birth, old age, sickness and death?"

　　Zen Master Zhiqin said: "The green mountain (original) does not move, and the clouds can come and go."

　　This answer should be a good comfort for us ordinary people who are afraid of life and death. What is life and death? It was originally a human delusion. In fact, there is no life or death to obtain. If we realize our true nature, life and death are just like clouds, and our nature has never been reduced by a slightest or moved one step!

　While Zen Master Zhiqin stayed in Lingyun Mountain, there were many smart exchanges with Zen Master Xuefeng Yicun.

　　Zen Master Xuefeng once wrote a verse to send to Shuangfeng Ancient Zen Master. The last sentence was: "Thunder stops and keeps sound." After Master Zhiqin knew about it, he wrote another sentence: "Thunder is shaking and does not hear it." After Master Xuefeng heard about it, he exclaimed: "The ancient moon appears on the Lingyun Mountain."
