died, I knew everything was empty, but my sorrow would not be the same. Wang Shibei set the Central Plains Day, and the family sacrifice never forgot to tell Nai Weng-"Shier" by Lu You.
Lu You has been working hard to regain the land all his life. He still did not see the land regained until he died, so he wrote this poem to warn his descendants that if that day comes, he must come to his grave and notify him.

In 1802, Nguyen Phuc Anh, a descendant of the original Nguyen family, eliminated the Xishan Dynasty with the support of France and established the Nguyen Dynasty. Although the Qing soldiers had interfered, it was repelled by France. In the following year, Nguyen Phuc Anh requested a name from the Qing Dynasty as a dependent country. "Southern Vietnam", Emperor Jiaqing was naturally furious, so he reversed the name of the country and gave "Vietnam" to express his dissatisfaction.
In the west of Tianbao Town, Malipo County, Wenshan Prefecture, Yunnan, there is a mountain called Laoshan that borders Vietnam. Its main peak is 1422.2 meters above sea level. Laoshan is not only a border mountain, but also a battleground for military experts.
Standing on the Laoshan Mountain, you can see the vast area of China with a depth of 25 kilometers to the north, overlook Laozhai, Vietnam to the south, block the main passage from Malipo County to Vietnam to the east, and monitor the Kolin Mountain west of the No. 12 boundary pillar to the west. The border can be said to be the main throat of Yunnan Province. Its importance is self-evident.

In 1979, after the end of the counterattack against Vietnam, Vietnam was still unwilling and continued to offend my country’s borders and invaded Laoshan. With the complex topography of Laoshan, the Vietnamese army built a large number of tunnels, trenches, bunkers, and caves. At the same time, large-density mixed minefields were laid, and coupled with heavy firepower, the Vietnamese army formed a field defense capable of fighting, hiding, fighting independently, and holding on for a long time.
The Vietnamese side not only invaded and occupied my country’s Laoshan Mountains, but also constantly sent troops to harass my country’s borders. Since 1979, the Vietnamese army has continuously fired at the border farms, schools, and villages in my country, completely ignoring the lives and deaths of the villagers. According to statistics, Vietnam The army fired more than 40,000 rounds of various bullets, wounding or killing 235 people, tens of thousands of acres of rubber could not be harvested, and 52 schools were forced to attend classes.

Faced with this aggressive behavior, our country has repeatedly warned to no avail. In order to protect the safety of the people, we are determined to launch a counterattack again. On April 28, 1984, the 14th and 11th Army of the Kunming Military Region launched 26 days of preparations. After a counterattack, at 5:56, as our army flares into the air, 257 artillery pieces of various types were accompanied by a loud noise, and the battle officially started.
All kinds of artillery were launched together. For a time, the direction of Laoshan was dyed red by artillery fire. Our main attacking group also launched a charge. After 5 hours and 20 minutes of fierce fighting, our army captured the old man. The main peak of the mountain killed or injured more than 900 Vietnamese soldiers, destroyed more than 30 Vietnamese artillery pieces and 20 military vehicles.

After another 18 days of fighting, our army completely regained the Laoshan and Zheyin Mountains. This battle also played out our country's momentum, and the West also looked at our country with admiration again. But the battle did not end there. The Vietnamese army, unwilling to lose, was still harassing our country. This round of battle lasted for 9 years. It was not until April 1, 1993 that our army entered normal defense. People are most concerned about who Laoshan belongs to. The disputed land amounts to 227 square kilometers. The two sides have negotiated on this issue for several years. Finally, a border treaty was signed, of which 113 square kilometers were allocated to Vietnam and 114 square kilometers to China.

The Battle of Laoshan in the past 10 years is a landmark. In front of our soldiers, we cannot overcome the difficulties and dangers. One after another, the majesty of our country has been played out. To commemorate this victory, a beacon tower was built on Laoshan. Lookout. There are a total of 223 steps from the main gate to the main peak. This is to commemorate the 223 soldiers who sacrificed to recover the old mountain. During the Ten Years’ War, the soldiers in front fought bloody battles, defending the dignity of our country, and inspiring the people of the whole country. The "Laoshan spirit" will last forever. Today, Laoshan has also become an important patriotic education base.

If you come to Laoshan and climb the Laoshan by yourself, you can feel that the kind of people who are Chinese are passionate, our peace is hard-won, so we need to remember the martyrs.
