A former court insider told Valentine Low, a writer who wrote "Courts: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown", that Megan Markle, wanted to reach the level of Beyoncé's fame after marrying Prince Harry, and believed that he would become Beyoncé in the UK.
"Being a member of the royal family will bring her this honor," the insider continued. "However, she found that there were so many rules that she could not even do what she could do as a private person, which was tough."
After a relationship in May 2018, Harry and Markle announced on January 8, 2020 that they would no longer perform their duties as senior royals. Five days later, the prince's family, including Queen Elizabeth II of the UK, met to discuss an unprecedented decision known as the "Sandlingham Summit".
"It just requires the decision makers to sit around a table and say, OK, what should we do? What do you need to feel better? What can we give?" said a court insider.

After the summit ended, the monarch announced on January 13, 2020 that while she "more hoped" that Harry and Markle "remain full-time working members of the royal family", the couple will stick to moving forward with their plans to "create new lives."
"After talking to Prince Harry, the Queen wrote to confirm that it is impossible to continue to fulfill the responsibilities and obligations brought by public service life when she leaves her job," Buckingham Palace said in a statement at the time.
38-year-old Harry and 41-year-old Markle now live in Montecito, , , California, with two children: 3-year-old son Archie and 1-year-old Lily Bette. It is estimated that the Harry family will not have the chance to live with the royal family in the future.
