As of 24:00 on October 5, 2022, the city has reported a total of 7,315 positive infections of new coronary pneumonia. Among them, there were 3,679 confirmed cases (2,573 imported from abroad and 1,106 local cases), 150 cases are still in hospital; 3,636 asymptomatic infections (3,347 imported from abroad and 289 local cases), and 65 cases are still under medical observation.

Local confirmed case 10: female, 27 years old, arrived in Guangzhou from another province on October 4, and went from the airport to the fever clinic of Shijing People's Hospital in Baiyun District for treatment due to discomfort. The nucleic acid test was positive in the early morning of the 5th.

The above-mentioned infected people 6-9 are people coming to (returning) to Guangzhou from other provinces recently. After arriving in Guangzhou, they have been under quarantine and observation. During the quarantine period, they tested positive for the nucleic acid of the new coronavirus.
Local asymptomatic infection 10: male, 34 years old. On September 30, he came to Guangzhou from another province to be a close contact of an infected person announced on October 3. During the isolation and observation period, he tested positive for the nucleic acid of the new coronavirus.
Local asymptomatic infection 11: male, 19 years old. After arriving in Guangzhou from another province on October 4, he went from the airport to the emergency department of Jinshazhou Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for treatment due to discomfort. The nucleic acid test was positive in the early morning of the 5th.
Local asymptomatic infection 12: female, 43 years old.
Local asymptomatic infection 13: male, 46 years old.
The above asymptomatic infected persons 12 and 13 are the same as the asymptomatic infected persons 11 after coming to Guangzhou. As close contacts, they tested positive for nucleic acid during the hospital isolation observation.
The above confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections have been transported to the Eighth Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University for isolation and treatment, and the condition is stable. Relevant close contacts and epidemic-related places have been controlled.
