When Hong Xiuquan was frustrated, under the introduction of others, he visited the famous local "triad society" (a branch of the Hongmen Tiandihui in the Qing Dynasty, with the purpose of opposing the Qing Dynasty and reviving the Ming Dynasty, the forces were mainly concentrated in eastern Guangdong, Fujian, and Fujian. However, the triad society believes in Guan Gong and worships idols; while Hong Xiuquan worships God and believes in Jesus and opposes idols, so the two factions are simply incompatible. Despite this, Hong Xiuquan has developed many believers with the influence and power of the triad, and the power of God-worship is growing. Many triad members are poor people in the lower class and have no education. Relatively speaking, the knowledge of God worshipers is higher. Therefore, the conflict between the two factions deepens as time goes on. It is just that Hong Xiuquan and Yang Xiuqing are in awe of Hong Daquan, Shi Dakai and others, so worshiping God does not dare to take the lead.
In 1851, Hong Xiu organized the Jintian Uprising and proclaimed himself the King of Heaven, officially raising the banner of "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom". It was the congregations of the Triad and the worship of God who secretly operated and presided over this uprising. After the uprising, Hong Daquan was named King of Tiande, above the four kings of East, West, South and North.
Since then, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom has been divided into two factions: the Guangdong School worships God, the Guangxi School is the Triad Society; the God worship is led by the Eastern King Yang Xiuqing, and the Triad Society is based on Tiande Wang Hong Daquan is the leader. Both Hong Daquan and Yang Xiuqing are resourceful and well-respected people, but Hong Daquan's reputation is higher than Yang Xiuqing. After the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was established as the capital of Nanjing, Yang Xiuqing took over the power, often dominating the triad congregation in the name of doctrine, and even beat the Northern King Wei Changhui for trivial matters. In June 1856, after the Taiping Army broke through the Jiangnan Camp of the Qing Army, Yang Xiuqing saw that the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was in a good situation, so he pretended to be "Heavenly Father descended to earth" and forced Hong Xiuquan to call him "Long live." Soon, Hong Xiuquan executed Wei Changhui again in the name of indiscriminate killing. Shi Dakai had nothing to do with the governor, so he planned another career and led the triad soldiers to leave.
The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom declined from this. Only eight years later, the Hunan Army captured Tianjing (now Nanjing, Jiangsu), and the vigorous Taiping Heavenly Kingdom movement finally declared a complete failure.
