Lingqiu County Revolutionary Sites General 124: The site of Xin'anzhuang incident occurred
The site of Xin'anzhuang incident occurred is located in Xin'anzhuang Village, Zhaobei Township. Xin'anzhuang Village is now a natural village in Yangjiahui Village. Residents in the village moved out. This old site was originally the residence of a villager named Li in Xin'anzhuang Village. Now it is uninhabited and is a wasteland collectively owned by the Jiahui Village.
In November 1942, Li Xiuzhi, Director of the Organization Department of Hunyuan County Party Committee, Wang Huaiyuan, Secretary of the County Government, Tao Guang, Director of the County Youth Rescue Association, and Comrades Peng Weihan, Hu Mei, Xi Shengyu and Sun Decheng were reported by the spies. The enemy at Nanpotou stronghold learned that they sent troops to surround Xin'anzhuang Village overnight and occupied a mountain in front of the village. Every move in the village was seen by the enemy. When comrades Li Xiuzhi and seven others heard the gunshots, they quickly broke through. In order to disperse the enemy's firepower, Li Xiuzhi broke through to the west of the village, ran not far from the village, and was hit by the enemy, unfortunately died, and was buried by the villagers on the red sand slope in front of the village. Tao Guang broke through the back of the village, climbed the hillside behind the village along the deep ditch in the middle of the village. He was about to climb over the hill, but the enemy could not shoot. He was so tired that he could no longer climb, so he lay behind the grass and wanted to slow down. Because he was far away from the enemy and was running all the time, the enemy could not hit him. He stopped and was shot by the enemy and fell down. During the breakout, four comrades Li Xiuzhi, Wang Huaiyuan, Peng Weihan and Tao Guang unfortunately died, while Hu Mei, Xi Shengyu and Sun Decheng successfully broke through and survived.
