Lei Jin'er, born on July 25, 1925 , from Huarong County, Hunan.

Back then, Lei Jiner rescued a 5-year-old girl named Zhang Erying, but he was captured by the Japanese army. One day in the spring and summer of 1943, the Japanese army came to Huarong Yuanjiazui for a raid. Zhang Erying, who was only 5 years old at the time, and two little girls, a total of three people, were playing in front of the house. She was wearing a red bellyband made by her mother, and there were boiled peas in the red bellyband. Suddenly Zhang Erying saw many people running over and heard the sound of gunfire. When Lei Jiner saw Zhang Erying standing there, he asked her why they didn't run away when the Japanese came. As he was talking, he picked up Zhang Erying and ran forward. Because it was a dirt road and he was carrying Zhang Erying on his back, Lei Jiner couldn't run very far before he could run. At this time, the Japanese army was approaching, so Lei Jiner put Zhang Erying in a ditch on the roadside, covered her with straw, and told her not to make a sound, while she ran forward alone. Zhang Erying saw through the gaps in the straw that Japanese troops in military uniforms were chasing the common people. In the end, Lei Jiner did not escape and was caught by the Japanese army and taken to the stronghold.

Lei Jiner was brutally treated by the Japanese army in the Japanese stronghold, and various numbers of Japanese soldiers brutalized him every day. More than ten days later, his father learned that Lei Jiner was imprisoned in a Japanese stronghold, so he used money to redeem her back through the maintenance association. After returning home, his father also told Lei Jiner not to tell outsiders what he had experienced. Originally, my family owned a fishing boat and lived a relatively prosperous life. In order to rescue Lei Jiner and Lei Jinlian, his father sold almost all the valuables in the family.

Zhang Erying has always been very grateful to Lei Jiner for saving his life and has been searching for it for decades. She silently recognized Lei Jiner as her godmother. In May 2021, Zhang Erying was excited when she learned that Lei Jiner was still alive and wanted to meet him very much. In November 2021, Zhang Erying met Lei Jiner. The two held each other's hands and cried. They both remembered the past events of that year, and Zhang Erying also settled a matter on his mind.

In October and November last year, the staff of the exhibition hall of the old comfort station site in Liji Lane, Nanjing, together with Nanjing Daily reporters, went to Hunan twice, and newly confirmed Lei Jin'er. Jin Er and other seven victims of the Japanese military's "comfort women" system. At that time, we left precious images and data for Mr. Lei and Jin, but we didn’t want to say goodbye forever...

On weekdays, Mr. Lei and Jin were taken care of by their sons in turn, and they lived a peaceful and stable life in their later years. She and Lei Jinlian, another victim of the Japanese military's "comfort women" system in the Huarong area, are sisters. Although the two sisters rarely see each other, they miss each other very much and are relieved to know that the other is in good health.

The old man has gone with the wind, but she will always stare at this period of history, waiting for justice to come.
