"Approached" members of the delegation on the plane to France

- Notes on the visit to France 18 years ago (2)

At 9 a.m. on March 28, 2004, Mr. Wang and I took a car sent by the Cultural Relics Bureau to the capital. Airport .

At about 10 o'clock, our group met under the palm tree at Beijing Airport at the location agreed yesterday.

Xiao Zhu said that our contact information and meeting place are a bit mysterious.

Everyone has completed the check-in formalities and is waiting in the business lounge.

html Boarded the plane at 12:15 and took flight СА933. At 12:35, it took off from Capital Airport. On the plane, I carefully read the information provided by Xiao Zhu and learned more about the company and myself.

The Palace Museum is a comprehensive museum established on the basis of the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties and their collections. In 1961, with the approval of the State Council, the Forbidden City was designated as one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection units in the country. In 1987, the Forbidden City was included in the "World Cultural Heritage" list by UNESCO. The Forbidden City is also called Forbidden City . In nearly five hundred years, a total of 24 emperors lived here and ruled the country. The Forbidden City is 961 meters long from north to south and 753 meters wide from east to west. It covers an area of 780,000 square meters and the total palace building area reaches 163,000 square meters. There are currently more than one million items in the collection.

As the executive vice president of this well-known museum at home and abroad, Li Ji received a bachelor's degree in archeology from the History Department of Jilin University in 1982. He once served as deputy director and director of the Cultural Relics Protection Division of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage; director and deputy director of the exhibition department of the Chinese History Museum; and deputy director of the National Museum. He is the author of "Yanzhou, Xiwu Temple", "A Thousand Years of Hiding, a Hundred Years of Searching - The Origin of Chinese Civilization" and other works. What

knows from the information is limited. In fact, before I met Li Ji, some people from our Department of Culture introduced a lot about him to me. He not only has high professional knowledge, but also has rich practical experience. More importantly, he has a very charming personality.

I am secretly glad that I met a good leader during this visit.

Shanghai Museum was founded in 1952 and is a large-scale ancient Chinese art museum. The total construction area is 39,200 square meters, and the collection of 120,000 precious cultural relics includes 21 categories such as bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy, paintings, jade, bamboo and wood lacquerware, oracle bones, seals, and ethnic minority crafts. It is especially characterized by bronzes, ceramics, calligraphy and paintings. The rich collection and exquisite quality enjoy a high reputation at home and abroad.

As the deputy director of this museum Mr. Wang Qingzheng is 74 years old and is the recognized ambassador of our delegation. He has silver hair and a scholar's demeanor. He graduated from Soochow University in 1952, and then joined the Shanghai Municipal Cultural Relics Management Committee and the Shanghai Museum. It has been more than half a century now. Mr. Wang has a high reputation in the research fields of Chinese ceramic history, Chinese coin history and Chinese inscriptions. The "History of Chinese Ceramics", the English version of "Chinese Ceramics Dictionary", "Chinese Currency Series - Pre-Qin Volume", and "Jingdezhen Painted Porcelain" edited by him are all highly praised by the academic community.

Mr. Wang currently serves as the president of the Chinese Ancient Ceramics Society, a member of the National Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee, and the deputy director of the Shanghai Cultural Relics Management Committee. He is also a part-time professor at Shanghai Fudan University and Shanghai University. As for Mr. Wang, I felt particularly capable since the first time I saw him. If nothing else, the 74-year-old man is still working on the front line, and it is a lifelong career.

From the dinner party last night to today, through careful observation, I found that he pays attention to clothing and appearance, speaks appropriately and appropriately, behaves calmly and relaxedly, and thinks very quickly. In Mr. Wang, people can feel the shrewdness and ability of a typical southerner and the elegant demeanor of a scholar.

I think Mr. Wang himself is a heavy book.

Comrade Sun Yi, a Master of Arts whose pseudonym is Sun Yu, and I sat next to each other, and we had heart-to-heart conversations from time to time. He is 1.8 meters tall, wears a pair of glasses, and is very strong. From his appearance, you can tell that he is a Northeastern man.His ancestral home is Dalian, Dalian. His wife is Sun Yuqi. His daughter is studying in Beijing No. 4 Middle School and is a top student in the school. He is not only a member of Chinese Writers Association , but also a judge of the Contradiction Literature Award. He has rich life experience. He worked as an educated youth, served as director of the Literary and Art Department of Beijing Daily, and was later transferred to the Lu Xun Museum as deputy director and research librarian.

Through talking with him, I felt that he has a strong sense of justice and a deep sense of responsibility, as well as a deep sense of civilians. He has new ideas in work, dares to persist in reforms, pays attention to work efficiency, and solves many specific problems in the lives of employees based on the actual conditions of the museum. He also has strong planning skills and has planned many influential academic seminars based on the working characteristics of writers. He pays attention to establishing a good image of himself, reading for several hours every day, writing about a thousand words, and often walking to work.

He has a wide range of knowledge and has his own opinions on some issues. He told me about the results of his research on Lu Xun and his experience in writing works such as "Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren", "History after Letters", and "A Hundred Years of Bitter Dreams". When I feel excited, I can memorize a long section of his writing.

During the conversation with him, I felt deeply that I had read few books and even less some contemporary literary works that had a certain influence. Objectively, I was engaged in military work, but subjectively, I still didn’t work hard enough.

Culture also depends on accumulation. Without accumulation, there will be no cultural accumulation. This kind of accumulation cannot be based on temporary interest, but must be sustained.

Sun Yi and I got along very well and agreed to be good friends. I believe that we will become good friends who may not see each other often, but miss us often, and who may not be mentioned often, but will never forget them in our lives.

I learned about some of the natural conditions of the Lu Xun Museum from the materials. In 1924, Lu Xun, who had already won great reputation for his works such as "Diary of a Madman " and "The True Story of Ah Q", bought No. 21 Xisantiao, Fuchengmen, Beijing, and personally designed and renovated it, building a building with " "Tiger's Tail" and a unique small courtyard in the backyard. It was later turned into the Lu Xun Museum. The well-preserved former residence of Lu Xun Museum and the large-scale exhibition that comprehensively displays Lu Xun's life are the basic displays of the museum. In order to let more people know about the great writer, thinker and revolutionary Lu Xun, a considerable exhibition of Lu Xun's life is displayed outside the museum all year round. Because most of the tens of thousands of Lu Xun cultural relics are preserved in the museum, because a considerable amount of Lu Xun materials have been collected and sorted over the years, and because of the editing and publishing of the "Lu Xun Research Monthly", the Lu Xun Museum has become a domestic and foreign Lu Xun cultural relics information center, promoting research center.

The youngest member of our delegation is Zhu Ye. On February 21, I went to the State Administration of Cultural Heritage for work and met her in the Foreign Affairs Office. It was already known at that time that we were about to visit as a delegation, and she also gave me a business card and specifically wrote down her contact phone number. After that, due to specific issues regarding going abroad, she called me and reminded me of what I needed to bring, but that was it. At that time, I only knew that she was from Dalian and was a translator in the Foreign Affairs Office of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.

This time I learned from relevant information that she has a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Culture and a Master of Laws. He is very experienced in organizing and coordinating overseas exhibitions of cultural relics, and has participated in the preparations for overseas exhibitions of Chinese cultural relics many times. In 2001, she participated in the preparations for the "Qingzhou Buddhist Statue Exhibition" held in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. She also participated in the return of China's lost overseas cultural relics. This year, she took on the specific preparatory work for the large-scale Chinese cultural relics exhibitions "Sichuan Unearthed Cultural Relics Exhibition", "Confucius Culture Exhibition", "Kangxi Period Art Exhibition" and "Sacred Mountain Exhibition" held in France. The more I know about Xiao Zhu’s situation, the more I feel that my life will be intimidating.

Liaoning is one of the major cultural relics provinces in northern my country, with rich cultural relics resources preserved above and below ground. Currently, there are 535 national key cultural relics protection units and 201 provincial-level cultural relics protection units in the province. Liaoning Provincial Museum is a large historical and art museum in China, with a collection of 110,000 cultural relics, including calligraphy, paintings, ancient tapestry , Hongshan Culture jade , and cultural relics unearthed from the Liao Dynasty, which are all considered national treasures.

html Over the past 20 years, the cultural relics collected by the Liaoning Provincial Museum have been to more than 10 countries and regions including the United States, Japan, Finland, South Korea, and Hong Kong, and held exhibitions of different scales and distinctive features.

The passenger plane was flying over the sea of clouds, and my thoughts were stirring in my heart: This time I can accompany a "national treasure" cultural master like Mr. Wang, a famous expert in the cultural and museum system like Captain Li, a well-known writer in the literary field like Sun Yi, and Zhu It was really a rare learning opportunity to go to Paris with an outreach expert like Ye who is from the State Administration of Cultural Heritage.
