Zhang Wenbin talked with Li Baisong and asked Li Baisong to be responsible for the radio station of the North Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. The task was to ensure the safety and unblocking of the radio station, keep in touch with the provincial party committee secretary, and emphasized the importance of radio station work.
After accepting the task, Li Baisong left the beginning the next day and returned to Nanxiong by car. According to the contact method Zhang Wenbin told him, go to the second floor of a house outside Binyang Gate in Nanxiong City, and meet with Li Han, a radio interpreter, and get from Li Han with Comrade Li Dalin, Secretary of the Northern Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. After Li Baisong established the relationship with the provincial party committee leader, he returned to Nanxiong and handed over the telegram that Li Dalin was about to send to Li Han to translate it into a telegram cipher, and then asked the telegram operator Lai Yanggao to arrive at the joint in Shaoguan City. Lai Yanggao gave the telegram they received to Li Baisong, and Li Baisong gave him the cipher of the telegram to be sent. The staff of the entire radio station are: translator Li Han, telegraphers Lai Yanggao and Ou Jiaju, Liang Lin who is covering the telegraph team, Situ Ming who assists Li Baisong to manage the radio, and Li Baisong, a total of six people. The supply of the radio station is seriously in charge of the Secretary-General of the North Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, and Li Baisong is the person in charge of the radio station.

As a teacher, he rented a house near the school for secret translator work. The
radio station's reporting team is arranged in the Hongwei Artillery Tower in Shensuo. Li Baisong lives on the fourth floor of Hung Wai as a merchant water visitor. The fifth floor is unoccupied and serves as a working place for the reporting team. At that time, Li Baisong changed his surname to Chen and Wensheng, and Situ Ming was the proprietress. Ou Jiaju also changed his surname to Chen, as Li Baisong's younger brother, and Lai Yanggao as Li Baisong's buddy. Li Baisong's public identity is a merchant and water traveler. Of course, he has to travel everywhere, which makes it easy for Li Baisong to come in and out frequently.
Radio Construction
The parts and components of the transceiver are easy to damage, and this kind of contraband is not available. The radio station had two original transceivers, one for work and one for standby. The broken parts had to be removed from the spare machine. Later, when there were no parts to remove, I had to go to Li Dalin to solve it. Li Dalin introduced Chen Zhenglang (an underground member of the Communist Party of China) to Li Baisong, the director of the provincial radio station of the Kuomintang, and Chen Zhenglang supplied the spare parts needed by Li Baisong. In addition, the consumption of dry batteries is very large, and large-scale purchases are afraid of the enemy's suspicion. Li Baisong called the retail store's treasure and purchases in large quantities, which did not arouse the enemy's suspicion.
In the beginning, the radio only had a telegram group, not a machine repair group. The machine breaks down and is often at a loss, affecting timely reporting. After Li Baisong reported the problem to Li Dalin, he soon sent two crewmembers, Li Yang and Wang Ying, to add a maintenance team to solve the problem of machine repair.
Contact the Provincial Party Committee
Li Baisong is personally responsible for the communication between the radio station and the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Li Dalin. Every time Li Baisong approached Li Dalin's house, he would first "wipe his butt" and second, look at "symbols." "Washing the ass" means that before getting started, pay attention to see if there are any Kuomintang agents stalking. "Look at the symbols" means to see if there are any agreed symbols in the house. Only after the butt is wiped and the symbol can I enter the house calmly.
For more safety and convenience,In March 1942, the Secretary-General of the North Guangdong Provincial Party Committee gave a serious confession to Ou Xin and helped the radio station establish a base in Shaoguan. He rented a back room in a tofu shop on the side of a Danshui wharf in Dongheba, Shaoguan. This house is close to the river, and a wooden shed becomes two houses. It is ideal as a base for the radio station. As a result, Li Baisong moved in with his family as the boss of the oil press. There is often a load of camphor oil coming in and going out, and the cover is very similar. In this way, it not only avoided the trouble of Li Baisong coming to Shaoguan to live in a hotel for inspection, but also saved money.
In the early morning of May 27, 1942, the North Guangdong Provincial Party Committee incident occurred, and the North Guangdong Provincial Party Committee was destroyed by the KMT secret service. Provincial Party Secretary Li Dalin, Li Dalin’s lover Zhang Ying and their months-old baby, as well as secretary Liang Keming, and worker Liu Jin (formerly known as Chen Changjiao) were arrested. Also arrested was Rao Weihua, Minister of Organization of the Provincial Party Committee. On the 29th, after organizing arrangements, Li Baisong left the North Guangdong Provincial Party Radio Station.
