Li Xianhua has been a cake maker for 8 years. Over the years, she has been trying different cake decoration techniques. "Beauty" pursed her lips, her eyes were as charming as silk, her skin was as white as snow, and there were countless tenderness between her eyebrows and eyes. It took Li Xianhua 5 days to be a "beauty" head. "The head was pinched with fondant. I took 3 days to pinch 17 pieces to make this one of the works." After pinching the appearance of the head, she still needs to continue to "make a fuss" on this head that is less than the size of an egg - to carry out the next step of coloring and hairpin. A subtle mistake could cost her several days of hard work. "The head should not only be careful, but also be very careful when doing it. Once when I painted the 'beauty'' face, I accidentally touched my nose and the base of my nose collapsed, so I had to do it again." Li Xianhua said.
"Beauty" looks light and her clothes are fluttering. For making fondant puppet craftsmanship, it is not easy to make a static puppet look dynamic. "Only when the clothes flutter, they will feel like they are standing in the wind, and the wrinkles of clothes are very important," said Li Xianhua. She rolled the fondant into a thin piece, processed it into the required shape, and repeatedly tried it on the doll to make a relatively natural wrinkle. There are 3 layers inside and outside the sleeves. After setting the wrinkles, you need to hold them up to imitate the wind blowing, and then fix them and wait for the fondant to be finalized. The three colors of blue, purple and white are combined, and the clothes are layered inside and outside, which is particularly exquisite. After putting on the "beauty", Li Xianhua also drew a flower pattern on the clothes with a slightly darker color. The embellished flower patterns look like the dark patterns of Seiko fabric.
Li Xianhua also spent a lot of effort on the prospects of the work and the overall color matching. Li Xianhua is not a professional, because she likes her, and she often studies the sets and colors of excellent fondant works. "When making doll works, only people are too monotonous and need a set. My work uses 'strange rock' as a match. The shape of 'strange rock' is based on feeling. Dig a hole here and lift it up on the other side, and the image of 'strange rock' will appear. Then a plum blossom pops out between the gaps, and the scene will be alive. For the sake of the realistic effect, I also painted some green on the shadows and corners of 'strange rock' to simulate moss." Li Xianhua said with a smile, "Color matching is also very important. On 'strange rock', I also embellished some purple colors to make the overall look more harmonious."
When the work was presented, Li Xianhua felt that all the efforts were worth it. From simple flat big-headed cartoon characters to three-dimensional fondant dolls, her skills are constantly improving. Li Xianhua said: "This is a new attempt.
