I just read the following passage in the book Awakening in the World. I think it tells a lot about the truth of life and the underlying logic that people don’t know:

Many people are asking: To be a good person, or to do things with conscience , can you make money?

Anyone who raises this question has basically never been successful.

In fact, the reason why people are unsuccessful is often a problem of wisdom. However, too many people like to attribute the problem of "wisdom" to "conscience".

This is the basic attribution error of : It is obviously because you are "not smart", but you always doubt whether you are "too kind". This is a low-level mistake that many people often make. Because "too kind" sounds much nicer than "not wise."

This is the basic attribute of human nature: even if you fail, you must find a high-sounding reason for yourself to make yourself look less like a failure: at least I am still a kind person.

This is self-deception: I would rather prove that other people's success is due to unscrupulous means than examine the real reasons for my own failure.

Just like the situation I was in when I first started working, I always said that I was too naive and the society was too dangerous. I was always being tricked and hurt by others at work, making excuses for my incompetence.

But it cannot be denied that I always fail in my ability and wisdom. Those who are successful not only have strong professional skills, but also have good interpersonal skills. My failure is entirely because I do not have this understanding. Knowledge and wisdom, workplace skills are not perfect, and people and worldly skills are not handled well.

I just came out of the society and had no experience. Fortunately, I kept reflecting on myself and improving my workplace skills. I reviewed every time I fell down and avoided many such things and being hurt when they happened again.

wrote at the end: Maybe many of us are ordinary people, children from poor families, without anyone to guide us, and without a deep understanding of the laws of survival in this society, but we can change ourselves, adapt, learn, and summarize, instead of Let others foot the bill for your own failures, excusing yourself from the perspective of a victim!
