Renunciation is not about escaping, nor is it about hiding in the deep mountains and forests.

Renunciation is in life. It means not leaving the present moment, your current family and work environment. You don’t even need to get up, you can just sit there and renounce.

Renunciation cannot be understood as escape. It does not require you to hide anything, nor does it require you to find a cave to live in seclusion.

The spiritual practice of the Immortal family has this requirement. When practicing, you need to stay away from the crowd.

However, we do not have this requirement, because the processing objects, methods, and requirements are completely different from other requirements.

So, where to start? It is from your greed, attachment, and love for the five pleasures of the world that you can detect its shortcomings. For example, if a person likes food very much, he eats a lot of it. If you meet a person who is a true practitioner, you will tell him not to eat too much. Eating too much will cause a series of troubles.

It is mentioned in the sutras that overeating will make your body become more and more bloated and your strength will become less and less.

is like that kind of fat man. He looks very big, but in fact he has little strength and no endurance. He will be out of breath and sweating profusely after running for a while, and he must stop.

If you eat like this without restraint, a series of problems will occur, and this problem is the risk of illness.

However, Master will also tell you that there is happiness in eating, but you must know how to eat and drink in moderation.

Just like the five pleasures of the world, the pleasures of wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep, Master did not deny it or tell everyone not to pursue these pleasures. He affirmed that these pleasures exist.

The happiness of having money is a kind of happiness.

If you have money, you can do many things, you can help many people, and you can also do a lot of charity and charity.

For example, many people will use the money to build hospitals, schools, etc. when they have money.

Having money will bring a lot of happiness. If you want to be wiser, it can make your life more secure, calm, dignified, and have a sense of accomplishment. It can also be free of charge. Suffering from scarcity.

Among the five desires, there is also the pleasure of lust. If this kind of lust is not satisfied, people will become very impatient, irritable, and restless. Be sure that these worldly entertainments and the happiness after satisfying desires are real.

However, in language, you must affirm and remind the other party that these pleasures are easy to disappear and are not long-lasting. They will change with the changes of people, life, and the changes of the five aggregates of body and mind. These pleasures will disappear. Destroy, dissipate.

That is to say, these pleasures are not solid, they are not permanent, and they are not stable. It will mutate, change, and disappear. When

disappears, if your persistent preference is still very strong, it will cause a kind of pain.

In life, the pain caused by the disappearance of this kind of happiness is also relatively common. For example, when lovers are separated, if one party of a deeply loving couple or couple dies due to some accident, the other party will be in great pain.

Sometimes, listening to the songs that your lover has heard will make you cry. Many people are immersed in this kind of pain and cannot get out of it. This kind of memory of past events is called attachment, and this attachment is very strong.

teaches people in the world that they must understand that this pleasure will disappear, and then they can let it go and get out of this sadness. This is called renunciation.

Therefore, renunciation does not mean staying away from the body, nor does it mean avoiding or escaping your body. It means that a person can let go of the five desires for money, sex, fame, food, and sleep from the perspective of knowledge, theory, and heart. Love, attachment.

In other words, the desire to keep it for a long time after having it is slowly reduced, seen through, and let go. This is what Master requires of his disciples.

Therefore, when you talk to others, you must be able to convey this knowledge and principles slowly and skillfully.

On the premise of affirming the entertainment in the world, he told the listeners that these entertainments are unstable evils that will disappear, change, and dissipate.

If your current desire is still very strong and your attachment is very persistent, once the pleasure dissipates, you will suffer.

Pain is a feeling in the heart. Therefore, renunciation does not need to go to a special environment, time, or space. It is right now, and you can renounce it right now.

Therefore, the fourth language requirement is somewhat difficult.

In fact, it becomes difficult at the third level, because many people do not listen to the content of their own words when they speak, nor do they pay attention to their speaking speed.

Sometimes, well-educated people will consider the other party's feelings when speaking. When speaking, they will pay attention to the other party's emotions, eyes or some body movements from time to time.

If he feels that the other person is a little uncomfortable, bored, or feels that the other person is a little embarrassed, he will adjust his language in time. This is only possible for ordinary people who are well-educated and have social experience.

However, Master believes that you also need to make the other person happy and make the other person like listening to you.

For example, if the other party listens to your speech or method for an hour, he still feels that there is something unfinished, or an hour feels like listening to you for ten minutes. You need to have this ability.

The language requirements are actually quite high.

Then in the third step, you must be able to hear clearly whatever content you speak and the speed at which you speak your own language. This requirement is even higher.

Because most of us have not been trained in this area since we were young, we just speak out in one breath, or are eager to express ourselves, and even forcefully interrupt the other party's speech when necessary, and then I will speak.

Ordinary people sometimes make such shortcomings, or you may have behaved like this.

But no, you must speak to yourself first, and when you speak it, you must have a view. This is Guanyin, and this is the practice method of Guanyin Bodhisattva .

The Guanyin method was chosen by Manjusri in the Surangama Sutra . It is the most suitable for the practice of all living beings in the world. In the Mahayana, it is believed that Guanyin is called the ear root, which means that the ear root is perfect.

What is Ear Root Yuantong?

means that when you speak, you must hear clearly, your speaking speed and your content, and then you can also consider the feelings of these listeners, take care of them in a timely manner, and then adjust yourself in a timely manner.

Even if you achieve this step, it is actually not enough.

The content of your speech must affirm all sentient beings’ enjoyment, possession, and pursuit of the five desires, while also reminding them that there is better happiness and more extraordinary happiness in the world.

What is the happiness that is more extraordinary than the five pleasures of the world?

That is the happiness of liberation, also known as the happiness of Nirvana.

Nirvana is not death. Nirvana is to cut off and eliminate the greed, anger, ignorance and pride in the heart. This is called Nirvana.

When a person can get rid of all the unwholesome, bad and strong attachments, ignorant and ignorant thoughts and opinions in his heart.

Slowly eliminate and cut off the desires of greed, hatred, hatred, and ignorance, and then he will be liberated.

The language puts forward four things that cannot be done, and also puts forward four things that must be done hard.

Then, there is a sequence to achieve these four requirements: the first is cognition, and the second is taming.

For example, the "Diamond Sutra" talks about how to subdue one's heart, but what kind of heart is being subdued?

is actually your physical and mental restlessness, this restlessness, this ignorance, this kind of greed, anger, stupidity and pride.

For example, if your heart is jumping up and down the tree like a monkey, jumping from this branch to that tree, it is called being restless and restless. Then use these methods to subdue your restless heart.

So how to surrender?

There is a set of methods in the "Diamond Sutra", which is to observe first. You must first know why your heart is restless? Why the chaos? Why did it break up? This is the first point.

The second point is that you also need to know that the specific method of taming is body, speech and mind.

For example, language, the Master’s language is the Guanyin Bodhisattva’s enlightened ears. From here, we can go to the final step to cut off greed, anger, stupidity, and pride.

The third point is that you know, observe, and capture it, and then when you train it in life, you will slowly have the ability to cut it off.

After cutting off, you can be freed from these bonds. This is called renunciation.

So renunciation is the renunciation of the soul, the renunciation of knowledge, and the renunciation of the mind. It is not about taking your body to a remote place, such as a place deep in the mountains and old forests.

However, everyone should know that there is this kind of renunciation in the cultivation of the immortal family, and we do not advocate it.

Cultivation must be among the public, among the crowd, just in this ordinary daily life, using this very skillful method to quietly cut off and eliminate the greed, anger, ignorance and pride in the heart, so as to achieve The feeling of joy and freedom after physical and mental liberation.
