Ancient sages told us that a person’s lifelong practice must cultivate both blessings and wisdom. Both blessings and wisdom should not be neglected. If you are obsessed with one side, your practice will not be complete, or due to lack of one side, it will never be able to improve on the other side. Stumbled into a bottleneck and could not break through.

This is just like a person needs basic guarantees in both spiritual and material aspects. If the material is too rich and the spirit is very scarce, such a person will not feel happy. Over time, he will feel boring in life; but if he only emphasizes the sublimation of the spirit, but is poor in material terms, and even the most basic survival and life are problems, it will definitely not work.

Want to cultivate blessings. It comes from the daily self-cultivation, firm precepts, doing good deeds and giving. The ancients said: Cultivate oneself, manage the family, govern the country, and pacify the world. No matter how big your ideals and goals you have, if you do not have the perfection of self-cultivation, you will be destined to be unsolicited and will not be able to achieve it at all. Even if it is achieved by chance, it will be shaky because of the unsolid foundation. This is not what we really want.

According to the teachings of ancient sages, we will improve our character cultivation and start strictly from dealing with people around us and dealing with every small matter. Do not do good deeds because of small good deeds, and do not do evil deeds because of small evil. All good and evil are not caused by temporary reasons, but come from accumulation in daily life. Once you have improved your self-cultivation and perfection, your virtue will be established, and then you will use your abilities and wisdom to contribute more and give more, and good causes and conditions will follow.

To cultivate wisdom, we mainly rely on accepting the teachings of sages, and we must believe and follow them. Optical theory is not enough, it must be put into practice and proved in practice so that true knowledge can be obtained.

Chinese studies master Nan Huaijin Mr. once said: To open up wisdom is closely related to developing a great mind and doing great good. If a person does not have enough blessings, he will not be able to practice no matter how hard he practices. If you truly have a great intention to do a great good deed, you will find that your wisdom has been greatly improved. This directly proves the close relationship between blessings and wisdom, which are complementary and inseparable.

But why are there many people in the world who have blessings and virtues not truly "enlightenment" and truly open up inner wisdom? On the one hand, we have not studied the wisdom of sages in depth, and have not been well-versed in "reasons", and more importantly, we have not thoroughly studied meditation. Even the most basic "quietness" has not been achieved.

In Six Paramitas , they may do very well "giving, keeping precepts, forbearing humiliation, and diligence". Therefore, the merits are relatively complete, but because there is no deep meditation and no skill in concentration, Prajna wisdom cannot arise. There are still many distracting thoughts and delusions in their hearts, and they are far from opening up wisdom. What's more, although there is enough blessings, such as the so-called "successful people" in society, they do not believe in the wisdom of sages, and will not study in depth, nor will they put into practice. Without these most basic conditions, it is even more difficult to open up wisdom.
