Patient Ms. Qian (pseudonym) 2 9 years old, 28 + 4 weeks pregnant. She developed irregular abdominal pain for 5 hours at 1:00 a.m. on December 24. Compared with traditional cesarean section, the Encaul cesarean section (membrane-preserving cesarean section) does not first rupture the membranes and suck out the amniotic fluid before delivering the fetus, but directly delivers the fetal membranes and amniotic fluid together with the fetus. Because the fetal membranes are as thin as cicada wings and are extremely easy to rupture, it is very difficult to deliver the fetus with the fetal membranes intact during cesarean section. A little carelessness may cause the operation to fail. Currently, only a few hospitals in China can carry out this technology.
