At this time, the blood sugar level is Within normal range.
As the gestational age increases, in the second and third trimester of pregnancy, the sensitivity of pregnant women to insulin decreases. When insulin secretion is insufficient, blood sugar will rise. Therefore, screening for gestational diabetes is usually performed between 24 and 28 weeks.
As long as one value reaches the reference value, gestational diabetes can be diagnosed.
After 24-28 weeks of pregnancy, a 75-gram oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) can be performed to determine whether diabetes is present.
After fasting for 8 hours, take 300 mL of liquid containing 75 grams of glucose orally within 5 minutes. Draw venous blood before taking sugar, 1 hour, and 2 hours after taking sugar to detect blood sugar levels. The reference values at the three times are in sequence. If any value reaches or exceeds the reference value, gestational diabetes will be diagnosed.

Most gestational diabetes can recover after delivery, but you should go to the hospital for a review 42 days after delivery to confirm whether you have diabetes combined with pregnancy or gestational diabetes to avoid missing the treatment time.
