According to Capacitymedia on October 31, four Malaysian mobile operators, Malaysia Telecom (Telekom Malaysia), U-Mobile, Celcom Axiata and DiGi Telecommunications, said they have signed an agreement to agree to use the 5G network operated by state-owned Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) for a period of 10 years.

Malaysia's 5G plan has been repeatedly frustrated due to differences between the government and major operators in terms of pricing and transparency.
Maxis Bhd and U Mobile initially rejected government-led plans in September because operators said they don’t see the benefits of being 5G minority shareholders, but are still negotiating for access to the network.
U-Mobile later said it will provide commercial 5G services to customers starting Thursday. Malaysian telecommunications company is worried that state-owned networks may lead to nationalized monopoly.
However, the government has repeatedly insisted that a single shared network will reduce costs and increase efficiency.
