Hammer-shaped finger is avulsion at the end of the finger extensor tendon or accompanied by fracture of the dorsal joint edge of the distal phalanx. It is generally caused by acute flexion force contusion in the extension position, which is common in the little finger, ring finger and middle finger. If not treated, it may develop gooseneck deformity and loose finger extension device.

Treatment method
