Ding Zemin is Jiangdu County, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1949 and is the same age as the Republic. He has been practicing medicine with his father since he was 16 years old. Soon, he became the "official doctor of Lianghuai" Zhu Xialin. After repeated tests, Mr. Lin not only taught him everything he had learned throughout his life, but also recruited him as a son-in-law and married his only daughter to him. In 1945, Ding Zemin successfully started his education and brought his family to Nanjing to open the Ding Hemorrhoid Clinic on Jianye Road .
1948, he felt deeply that his medical skills still needed to be improved, so he also worshipped Zhang Jianzhai, the "grandmaster" at that time. From then on, while serving in the clinic with Mr. Zhang, he studied traditional Chinese medicine theory at Central National Medical Center . A few years later, he had advanced medical skills and after graduation, he opened his own clinic again. Because of his excellent medical skills, he soon became famous in all directions. Since then, Ding Zemin has been rooted in Nanjing. After the founding of New China, he donated both his ancestral proven prescriptions and medicines to the country for free, and based on this, he founded the Hemorrhoid Department of Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. However, Mr. Ding did not stop there, he kept exploring and innovating.
In the 1960s, Ding Zemin followed Shennong to try medicine with his body, which led to his repeated poisoning. Ding Zemin and this spirit of "Shennong tasting grass" allowed him to make rapid progress in medical skills. He innovated the segmented tooth ligation method, incision and suture of the open-line and directional segmented thread hanging method. More importantly, these three methods later became classical techniques used in the anorectal world of traditional Chinese medicine.
In response to the global anorectal problem of "Crohn's disease anal fistula", Mr. Ding proposed a traditional Chinese medicine treatment plan, which achieved significant results. In addition, he has devoted himself to developing more than 30 specialized preparations, which have become the "exclusive secret techniques" of the Department of Anorectal Hospital of Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine.
More than 70 years of medical practice, he has been highly recognized and has been rated as a national model worker in and an advanced worker in the national health system. In 2014, Ding's Hemorrhoids was officially listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. Ding Zemin also trained thousands of backbone and discipline leaders in anorectal department across the country. While accepting apprentices, he also trained several of his direct relatives in his family to become traditional Chinese medicine experts, enjoying the reputation of "the first medical school" in Nanjing.
