strongly recommends that everyone understand the following concepts:
happens to have a theory in psychology called Regulatory focus theory. In 1997, the psychologist Higgins proposed the theory of adjustment focus. He divided one's attempts to achieve goals into two modes, namely:
Prevention focus: Will my actions produce bad results?
Promotion focus: Will my actions bring good results?
This is one of my recent big gains. I often rely on a mode of thinking in my life to promote the focus.
What are the benefits of doing this?
Avoid anxiety, think positively, and enhance happiness.
For example:
I encountered things before, and I often anchored a high standard, and then switched to the focus of prevention, and then what would happen if I did not meet this standard.......
The result would of course be very anxious , Very disappointed and struggling.
But if it is to promote focus, it will feel a lot easier. As long as there is any gain, it is still full of happiness.
Previously, I asked myself how many books I had to read every day, and I would blame myself if I didn't read it. Now, no matter how much I read every day, it is very enjoyable, because that is my tangible gain!
