On December 16, 1972, I joined the army with the children of Pingshan 800 to guard the border and defend the country. In the blink of an eye after 50 years, my comrades have entered the twilight years of their lives. Cherishing the friendship of half a century, we have reunited as comrades 50 years later to continue our relationship.

Unforgettable forty-two years ago,
heroes served their country and went to the border.
The dragon and the tiger are fighting on the top of the mountain, and the liver and gallbladder are connected by the overlord river.
The wind, frost, snow and rain are majestic and brave,
hold hands with each other through thick and thin.
Comrades have been in love for ten years, and
has been singing for thousands of years.
Note: In the winter of 1972, I joined the army with 800 children from Pingshan to guard the border, and shared the joys and sorrows with my comrades in Naobaoshan for ten years spring and autumn . Every time I think of it, I can't help but sing it, and I turn it into a seven-character song dedicated to the battlefield reunion 40 years later.

About the author: Liang Lutao, a native of Pingshan, Hebei, has a university degree and is a senior political engineer. Born in January 1954, he joined the army in December 1972 and transferred to work in a financial institution in September 1993. He has been awarded second-class honors once and third-class honors three times, and won honorary titles such as "Advanced Journalist of Beijing Military Region" and "Advanced Worker of Ideological and Political Work in the National Financial System". He has published more than 5,000 articles (parts) of more than 6 million words in various types of newspapers and periodicals at home and abroad. Published 8 works including "Snow Soul", "Punctuation of Life", "Men Have Tears" and the three-volume "Collection of Liang Lutao's Literary Works".
