In the new year, Ukraine’s air defense force will become stronger and more effective
Dear Ukrainians, I wish you good health!
I have another staff meeting—the 45th this year.
Mainly Donetsk region, Lugansk region - our Donbass , where the fiercest fighting is going on. Bahmut, Soledar, Krimina... In general, we held our ground. There are also areas on the front where we are slowly advancing. I am grateful to all the soldiers who ensured this. You are the real heroes!
We discussed the situation in the south, on our borders, weapons supplies and further strengthening of air defences.
This year, we not only maintained our air defense systems , but we also made them more powerful than ever. But in the new year, Ukraine's air defense system will become stronger and more effective.
Ukraine’s air defense system can become the most powerful in Europe, which is a security guarantee not only for our country but for the entire continent. After the
staff meeting, in another meeting, we discussed the situation in the energy industry and what we were preparing for.
We have a clear strategy to ensure the production and supply of electricity. Implementing it will take time. This requires a lot of effort. But we will make it happen. This will be mandatory. This is one of the most important tasks for next year and I am confident that we will get it done.
Today I spoke with Prime Minister of Greece . As we wrap up the year, I thank Greece for its support of our country. We agreed on how to make our collaboration more meaningful next year.
I had a meeting with our diplomats. There are many issues, but the main thing is that we are preparing to intensify measures in Ukraine in January and February.
Ukraine will maintain the leadership position it has achieved in foreign policy and will become more active, that is for sure.
There is another one.
Today, for the first time, a ceremony was held to award our volunteers with the Golden Heart Award.
It's fair and honest - at the end of the year, honoring those who have helped our defense, helped people and our entire state throughout the year.
Thank you to all those who fight for our country. Those who help Ukraine, those who work for Ukraine and our future.
