Part 4 Europe France
France: Located in western Europe. Including islands such as Corsica. 11. Plaza Jacobin
is a square in the center of Lyon, France, located in the second district of Lyon. It was opened in 1556, and in 1856 it added a fountain, which is part of a World Heritage Site.
Jacoben Square is named after the Domingo Building on the south side of the square. French King Philip II allocated a building to these Dominic monks in Paris and along the city along the "Road of St. Jacob" that made a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. The church was built in the 15th century and was demolished in 1808. Until 1782, the square was called the Cozy Square; after that year it became the Plaza Jacobin. In 2004, a sign introducing its history was installed on the square.
1877, the city council decided to establish a new fountain in Jacobin Square. 2. Golden Head Park
is located in Lyon, France. It was opened in 1857 and covers an area of 117 hectares. It is a city park in Lyon and one of the largest parks in France. The park is designed by Deni Boole and Eugen Boole, and is the veritable "Lung of Lyon".

3. Lyon Historic Sites
Lyon is a city with a long history. It was founded by the Romans in the 1st century BC. 4. Xiaowei Cave
Also known as Xiaowei Cave and Xiaowei-Pundark Cave, it is located in the Aldes Province of Rhone-Alpes. It was discovered by a group of cave scholars in 1994. It is famous for its rich prehistoric paintings on the cave walls. It is considered to be the most outstanding and historically significant prehistoric painting site in the world.
Xiaowei Cave covers an area of 8,000 square meters and is about 500 meters long. There are more than 450 animal murals on the rock walls of the cave. According to research, the Xiaowei Cave was used by humans in the late Paleolithic Age, and most of the rock paintings can be traced back to 30,000 to 32,000 years ago. These paintings are carved and painted by red ochre and black pigments, and are divided into 13 different themes, such as horses, rhinos, lions, buffaloes, mammoths or humans returning from hunting. They are colorful and lifelike. Some animals that were rare in the Ice Age or have never been found also appear here. They are in the need of protection. The cave does not provide visits.
According to research, these murals in the Shawwei Cave should be the Orina culture of the late Paleolithic European era. The unique feature is that it is the oldest painting to date, but it adopts modern painting brushwork and deeply expresses the realistic style. It was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 2014.
5. Nanzhifeng
is a mountain in Mont Blanc, the French Alps, with an altitude of 3842 meters and one of the famous symbols of Chamonix. Nanzheng Peak is the highest cable car station in Europe. If tourists come here but do not take the cable car, it will be regretful that they will enter Baoshan and return empty-handed. The cableway to reach the peak was built in 1955 and was the tallest cableway in the world at that time. It has maintained this record for about 20 years. It is still the largest cableway in the world with a vertical distance, ranging from 1035 meters to 3842 meters.
From Chamonix, the starting point of the cableway to the end point of the South Command Peak, it takes only 20 minutes to reach an altitude of more than 2800 meters. When tourists take the first ride, they always exclaim in an uproar and scream in excitement, as if they are flying in the clouds. There is a panoramic viewing platform on the top of the peak. In the vast clouds, the viewing platform is located among the layers of smoke and waves. Each peak is taller than the clouds. It is like a jade building and a world of immortals. In addition, there are cafes and gift shops. The name of the mountain is literally translated as "noon needle", which means looking at the South Star Peak in Chamonix, and the sun just reaches the peak at noon.
6. Lyon City Hall
is located in the first district of Lyon, France. It can be said to be one of the most beautiful ancient buildings in France. It is fertile soil square to the west and opposite the Opera House through the Comedy Square to the east. On July 12, 1886, the building was listed as a French historical monument.
In the 17th century, Lyon was developed, and the peninsula where the Fertile Land Square became the city center. The Lyon City Hall was built from 1645 to 1651. After being damaged by a fire in 1674, it was restored in 1702 and 1853 respectively. The city hall originally had a rich architectural style of Louis XIII. The rebuilt city hall outside is decorated with Italian-style statues and domes, making it the most humane large building in Lyon. The interior is decorated in a baroque architectural style very luxuriously, and many gorgeous halls and corridors are open to public visits.
The central part of the Lyon City Hall is a horse-riding statue of Henry IV (the first monarch of the French Bourbon dynasty from 553 to 1610). Surrounding the atrium is a three-story arch building and a bell tower about 50 meters high. It is elegant and classical. The Fermented Soil Square in front of the city hall is a favorite resting place for Lyon citizens. There is a fountain in the center of the square and a commemorative statue of four horses in the pool, which is lifelike.
