May 20th marks the 6th anniversary of Tsai Ing-wen, the leader of the DPP authorities, took office. Although the DPP authorities are vigorously promoting the so-called "political achievements", political parties on the island and Taiwanese people have already settled the general account for the Tsai administration's policies in recent days. The chairman of the Kuomintang Zhu Lilun criticized the Tsai administration for having "ten lacks and ten chaos" in the six years since its in power. People's Party also criticized Tsai Ing-wen's poor political achievements, especially for their poor epidemic prevention, which affects people's livelihood and economy. Taiwanese people criticized the DPP for taking office in recent years, and have only focused on ideology , destroying cross-strait relations, leading to tension in the Taiwan Strait, indifferent to people's livelihood, and causing the epidemic on the island to get out of control. In addition, the soaring prices on the island and power outages and water restrictions on power and water have also made Taiwanese people quite dissatisfied.
For the soaring price, the Kuomintang think tank pointed out that the consumer price index html's 5-year growth rate reached 1.96% last year, a record high since 2009; but the actual salary growth of the people reached negative growth last year, so the poll also found that 76.4% of the people felt that the actual income decreased. In terms of epidemic prevention, the public's dissatisfaction with the epidemic prevention policies this year reached 50.3%, and another 54.4% of the people believed that the Tsai administration was "super slow deployment."
KMT therefore criticized that the Tsai administration's "ten lack of" governance include: lack of vaccines, power outages, masks, quick screening (quick test package), lack of children's vaccines, lack of good air, lack of revitalization cash, lack of eggs, lack of toilet paper, lack of ( new crown ) oral medicine; the Tsai administration's "ten chaos" includes: vaccine chaos, power outages, mask chaos, quick screening chaos, children's vaccine chaos, air pollution chaos, revitalization chaos, egg chaos, toilet paper chaos and oral medicine chaos.
policy delays to fool voters
In addition, the Taiwan People's Party also held a press conference on the 17th to take stock of the DPP authorities' shortcomings since they came to power, including serious inflation in , wrong energy policies, delayed labor policies, complete out of control of housing prices, zero carbon emissions backward, and comprehensive loss of epidemic prevention, and called on the DPP authorities to take corresponding actions.
People's Party pointed out that the consumer price index continues to rise. Under the pressure of rising prices, Taiwan's substantial recurring wages showed negative growth for the first time in the past five years. In the first quarter of 2022, the prices of pre-sale houses in the metropolitan area across Taiwan rose across the board, and the rent index in February also hit a record high. Coupled with the inflation problem, it reflects that people are getting further and further away from the justice of residence.
People's Party also pointed out that the recent year marks the first anniversary of Taiwan's "517" power outage. At this time last year, all parts of the island were facing high temperatures and droughts, and water was still supplied in districts. The DPP authorities promised young people six years ago that they would build a better society for them, but now they are still just a pie to satisfy their hunger.
The island added 90,378 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on the 19th, setting a new single-day high. The People's Party criticized Tsai Ing-wen for its ineffective epidemic prevention and problems such as insufficient material, medical and quarantine capabilities emerge one after another. Various chaos show that the Taiwan authorities' "epidemic command center" is not ready for epidemic prevention at all.
Tsai Ing-wen's cross-strait policy has also been criticized. She has refused to recognize " 1992 Consensus " for six years since she came to power, and has been running wildly on the dead end of "Taiwan independence". She has also suppressed various exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait through the so-called "Anti-Infiltration Act", which has led to tense situation in the Taiwan Strait.
