Lin Xiaofeng, Party Secretary of Minnan Normal University, Chen Weng, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, Wu Binyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Minnan Normal University, Xiao Qingwei, former Vice President of Quanzhou Normal University, Lin Huadong, Section Chief of the Fujian Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, and more than 50 experts and scholars from Fujian Province attended the founding meeting. meeting read out the "Reply on Agreeing to Establish the Fujian Provincial Minnan Cultural Research Association" and the congratulatory letters and speeches sent by the Fujian Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, the Wuyuan Cultural Research Association, the Fujian-Taiwan Museum and other cultural organizations and institutions. The meeting elected the first council directors, and in the first council, one president, six vice presidents, one secretary-general, four deputy secretary-general and 25 executive directors were elected.
Lin Xiaofeng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Minnan Normal University, was elected as president of Fujian Minnan Cultural Research Association. He gave a report on the future work ideas of the Institute. In his report, he pointed out: "Southern Fujian culture is centered on Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, and radiates to Taiwan, Southeast Asia and other regions, with a far-reaching impact. It is an important spiritual support and bridge link of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past century, many research results have been produced, but it is not perfect in discipline research and theoretical systemization. The development of southern Fujian culture research has a long way to go. We will "do our best to be effective" in future development, strive to win government project funding support, and strive to promote the integration and development of Xiamen, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, Taiwan and Southeast Asia Minnan Minnan Culture Research Association."

I hope that after the establishment of the Research Association, it will be able to carry out standardized management, integrate resources across the province, cultivate professional cultural talents in southern Fujian, enhance the influence of southern Fujian culture, and make new and greater contributions to the prosperity and development of the philosophy and social sciences in our province, and to promote the early realization of the great cause of peaceful reunification of the motherland, actively serve the country's "Belt and Road" development strategy, promote local economic construction and social development.
It is reported that the Fujian Minnan Culture Research Association is initiated by Fujian Southern Normal University in conjunction with Xiamen University, Fujian Normal University, Quanzhou Normal University, Xiamen Taiwan Art Institute, Xiamen Minnan Culture Research Association, Zhangzhou Minnan Culture Research Association and other units, and is affiliated to Minnan Normal University.
