The child is sick at night or on weekends, and his parents often hesitate whether to go to the emergency room. When you go to the emergency department when you are not necessary, in addition to paying high registration and medical expenses and wasting medical resources, the child may be infected, so you must be cautious.
In addition to obvious symptoms such as coma, heavy bleeding, and suffocation, we need to get an emergency room immediately, there are many situations that cannot be easily judged, and we must be sent to the emergency room immediately, go to the outpatient clinic the next day, or take care of the basic home care. For the following eight conditions, the child must be sent to the emergency department.
Condition 1: Fever accompanied by inability to eat and deterioration of movement
Fever is an inflammation protection warning issued by the body. The body drives away invading bacteria through inflammation and high temperatures. Many diseases, such as urethral inflammation, Kawasaki disease, etc., are the initial symptoms of fever. Before you find out the cause of the disease, you can take medicine to reduce the fever. Not only will you remove the soldiers and generals who are defending themselves, but it is also like stealing the bells, which prevents you from finding out the cause of the fever. But if the child's ear temperature exceeds 39 degrees and feels uncomfortable, affecting vitality and eating, taking antipyretics can help relieve symptoms.
The most common cause of fever in children is caused by a cold caused by a virus. You can observe it at home first, but be sure to send it to the hospital when there are the following four situations:
Along with the inability to eat and the deterioration of movement.
has a fever for more than three days, and the maximum temperature has no trend of falling.
Unexplained fever.
The fever exceeds forty degrees Celsius.
Condition 2: Purple lips
Purple lips is a manifestation of hypoxia, which may cause cerebral paralysis and even sudden death.
Because the situation is urgent, you should quickly notify Yi19 and go to the hospital closest to your home with oxygen and emergency equipment. Usually, ordinary hospitals have oxygen, so parents can go to the hospitals and clinics near their homes to know that there is no oxygen? Is there an emergency department? Are there any pediatricians in the emergency department? To avoid being at a loss when the situation occurs. Get emergency first, reduce the time of hypoxia, replenish the child's oxygen, and transfer to the hospital after the situation is stable.
It is recommended that parents or caregivers should use CPR cardiopulmonary resuscitation. CPR is applied for three to five minutes of the initial gold of hypoxia, which will reduce the degree of organ hypoxia damage. On the "Taiwan First Aid Promotion and Education Consulting Center" web page (www.cpr.org.tw/Default/Default.aspx), there are information on the opening of first aid courses in Taiwan.
Condition 3: Cramps do not interrupt after more than five minutes
The child has cramps for the first time, or the cramps do not stop after more than five minutes, which may lead to loss of consciousness and should be sent to the emergency department as soon as possible. Continuous cramps may also cause hypoxia, so be careful.
Condition 4: Difficulty in breathing or shortness of breathing
Children do not exercise vigorously. When they rest quietly, they breathe too fast and breathe, they must seek medical attention as soon as possible. The so-called rapid breathing standard refers to: under one year old, the number of breaths per minute is greater than 60 times; from one to six years old, the number of breaths per minute is greater than 40 times; from six years old, the number of breaths per minute is greater than 30 times.

State 5: Body temperature is lower than 36 degrees Celsius
Under normal circumstances, the body temperature drops below 36 degrees Celsius, indicating that the central nervous system that maintains the body temperature is affected, which may be due to serious diseases such as sepsis or encephalitis.
When the temperature of the thermometer is lower than 36 degrees Celsius, it is necessary to confirm that the thermometer is functioning normally and is not broken. Sometimes it is caused by the electronic thermometer not being corrected for too long, causing a false alarm. If the confirmation is correct, you should seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
Condition 6: The stomach and intestines are normal, but they continue to feel nausea and vomiting
Common causes of vomiting can be divided into two categories: causes caused by the brain and causes caused by the stomach and intestines. If the child does not eat badly, or even feels nauseous and wants to vomit after eating all day, the cause may be that the intracranial pressure is too high, which is often caused by encephalitis, meningitis and other diseases. It is advisable to seek medical treatment as soon as possible!
Condition 7: Severe head injury
Almost all children have the experience of falling and hitting their heads. If they fall from a height above 130 cm, it is more likely to cause cerebral hemorrhage. Moreover, the more serious the cerebral hemorrhage, the higher the rate of sequelae, and caregivers must observe carefully. The focus of observation includes: Is the appetite normal? Do you want to vomit if you feel nauseated? Is it normal to interact with people? Are you aware of it? Usually, as long as your eating, interaction and activity are no different from usual, you can continue to observe.
If there is no abnormality in two weeks to one month or more, the chance of serious illness is not high.
Status 8: Children with deterioration in activity and confusion in consciousness
can already express their activity and consciousness, but babies under one year old must rely on careful observation and judgment of adults.
Eating is the most important activity for babies. If the eating condition suddenly becomes worse, and you can't eat or eat a few bites, it means that your activity is reduced and you need to be sent to the doctor for examination and treatment.
When the baby is sleeping, unable to wake up, or is awake, his eyes are unconscious and he does not respond, and he touches him or plays with him, this means that his consciousness has become worse and he must be sent to the hospital immediately.
There are many reasons why children feel uncomfortable, which may be a small cold, or a precursor to rapid changes and serious diseases. The above mentioned eight important situations should be discussed, and special attention should be paid to seeking medical treatment. If there is another unknown condition, it is recommended to find a pediatrician to help diagnose, clarify the condition, and maintain the health of the child. (Interview compilation: Zhang Yanwen)

The misunderstanding that the brain damage is caused by fever in the early stage is often caused by fever. In fact, that is because the causes of fever are brain-related diseases such as encephalitis and meningitis. If you suffer from these diseases, even if you don’t have a fever, your brain may be damaged. A simple fever will not cause damage to the brain.
●When you have a fever, you should cover yourself with a quilt and sweat?
often shiver before having a high fever. Be careful at this time. The fever may soar in a short period of time. In this case, covering the quilt will increase the body temperature and make the body feel even more uncomfortable.
