This is the reputation of the people in more than a dozen villages in the east of Pan'an Town. What I can't forget is the story of Mr. Yang Shangqian, a villager in Yangjiazhuang Village, who changed the poor face of his hometown in his early years and benefited the people.
After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, Pei Ping fell. Mr. Yang Shangqian, who was studying at Peking University at the time, was unwilling to be a slave to the country and dropped out of school and returned to his hometown Yangjiazhuang. During the eight years of staying at home, being knowledgeable and capable has become two practical things for my hometown: one is to revitalize the countryside and take the education first, and founded the "Gangu County Xisanshilipu Primary School" in Yangjiazhuang; the other is to build the Puji Canal and expand the Yongji Canal with the concept that water conservancy is the lifeline of agriculture.

From 1938 to 1941, Mr. Yang organized the local villages to raise funds to run schools. He took the lead in donating land and investing in mobilizing the masses to invest in labor and provide materials. Working together, Jiugongyuan materials collected two acres of campus, built six classrooms, ten faculty and staff offices, twelve student dormitories, six teachers and students’ kitchen rooms, and also built school gates, toilets, and walls. A three-acre playground was opened, equipped with orchid ball racks, table tennis tables, slides, single and double bars and other equipment. In order to ensure the normal office funds of the school, two acres of school land were purchased. Coupled with the careful greening and beautification, a complete primary school with complete equipment and beautiful environment was first born at Gangu West Gate, meeting the needs of the children of farmers in dozens of villages within a radius of more than ten miles around Yangjiazhuang to attend primary school. At night, they also run farmers' night schools to eliminate illiteracy for many years. Up to now, this school has been divided into "Yangjiazhuang Junior High School in Gangu County" and "Yangjiazhuang Primary School in Pan'an Town, Gangu County", and is still one of the education centers in Pan'an Town.

According to the Gangu County Chronicle, "From March 1, 1932 to July of the following year, Yang Jie, a nephew Yang Shangqian, led his nephew Yang Shangqian to organize local farmers to open canals from the shore of Sishipu in Pan'an Town, flowing through Shijiazhuang, Wangjiazhuang, Yangjiazhuang, and Sanshizhuang into Wei, and named it Pujiqu (locals call it Xinguanqu). In the 34th year of the Republic of China, the 34th year of the Republic of China, the name was Pujiqu (known as Xinguanqu in the locals). In order to repair the Mutian Canal, the county magistrate Zhang Xiaoyou submitted it to the provincial government many times. The provincial government agreed to lend a loan from the Provincial Farmers' Bank to assist in the construction. More than 77,800 cubic meters of earth and stone were completed, and more than 95,000 working days were spent, and more than 13,000 yuan was spent on funds, and it was renamed Yongji Canal. " (locals called Laoguan Canal). The project is under the construction of the "Yongji Canal Management Office" and Mr. Yang is the director. After the Yongji Canal was opened to water, tens of millions of dry land became irrigated land, and grain output increased exponentially. At the same time, a large-scale planting of line peppers was introduced, and the famous " Gangu pepper " was cultivated. Other vegetables have also been widely promoted in the irrigation area, increasing farmers' income, prospering Pan'an economy, and laying the foundation for the Pan'an Town high-efficiency agricultural demonstration zone. , the Party and the government attached great importance to the management, maintenance and operation of Yongji Channel, and have invested funds to improve channel projects over the years. In 1998, municipal and county people's congress representatives Lu Minfan and Yang Chen jointly proposed a proposal to win 1.16 million yuan in capital, completely renovating the entrance of the Wei River in Liujiadun. In 2020, Yongji Canal’s high-standard and high-standard modernization project was approved for withdrawal.Construction is under intense current. The cultivation of greenhouse leeks in the irrigation area has made new developments, and Yongji Canal’s contribution to farmers’ poverty alleviation and prosperity will become more and more important.
Yangjiazhuang School and Yongji Canal have been built for more than 80 years. For eighty years, it has been loyal to serving and benefiting the local people, and has been in love with the people of Pan'an Special East. It will always be two beautiful scenery in the hearts of the people.
