Leaders in 65-style military uniforms: Lin Biao is in front, Zhu De and Xiaoping are full of energy, Chen Yi salute!
This is a very rare photo taken on the Tiananmen Gate Tower in 1966. There are a total of five leaders in the photo, namely Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping, Tao Zhu, Lin Biao and Chen Yi.
These five leaders all wore the most popular 65-style military uniforms at that time, which was the fashion of that era.
The left side of the photo is Marshal Zhu De. Mr. Zhu looks very burly and upright. He has an iconic generous smile and a strict discipline, which is most like a soldier.
Walking next to the commander-in-chief was Comrade Xiaoping. He seemed very energetic and happy that day, and was full of energy, as if he was talking to Mr. Zhu.
Deng Xiaoping's right is Tao Zhu. He was originally the leader of in South China. He had just been transferred to the central government. He was a subordinate of Lin Biao during the war and the relationship between the two was also very good. Tao Zhu is a powerful and decisive figure. He walked beside Deng Xiaoping. Although he showed a smile on his face and his eyes were not looking at the camera, he could still see the firmness and decisiveness deep in his heart.
The one who walked in front of this photo was Lin Biao. Lin Biao seemed very calm and confident on this day, as if everything was under control. He was still thin and pale as always, but he was completely different from the sickly past.
On the right side of Lin Biao is Chen Yi. He is always optimistic and straightforward. President Chen is smiling and saluting forward.
In the war years, several leaders were good comrades-in-arms. Zhu De was in the headquarters, Lin Biao and Tao Zhu led the Northeast War Zone, Deng Xiaoping was the supreme leader of Central Plains Bureau , and Chen Yi served as the commander of East China Military Region and East China Field Army .
