In the memorial hall of the People’s Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Corps in Yongle, Zhejiang, there are displayed two "Glorious Commemorative Certificates for the Families of the Revolutionary Victims of Militia and Workers" issued in 1957 with the seal of the Central People’s Government and Chairman Mao Zedong’s hand-marked font. The exhibits are quite eye-catching. These two commemorative certificates commemorate the "two heroic brothers" Liu Chengguang and Liu Chengzhang in Tianzhuyan Natural Village, Zeji Village, Lingdi Township, Yueqing City, Zhejiang Province.
According to the person in charge of the Yongjun Special Care Section of the Yueqing Veterans Affairs Bureau, Mao Zedong signed two certificates: In the memory of the martyrs who died in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Liberation War and War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, there is a watermark of "immortality".
According to descendants of the Liu family, the two brothers of the Liu family were originally from Gumiao Village in Yongjia. In order to avoid bullying in their hometown, their father led the whole family to move to the Tianzhu Rock in Tianmen Mountain and built three huts to grow sweet potatoes, etc. The crops make a living. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, a small stream gurglingly flows past the door under the towering peak of Tianzhu Peak, which is particularly quiet. As early as when Zhou Pizhen and others were engaged in secret activities, the family of Liu Chengguang and Liu Chengzhang became their secret concealment points. "I heard from the elders that there were guerrilla resting places in Lingtou. My grandfather and two brothers often brought food and meals to the players." Liu Chengguang's eldest grandson, Liu Jianle, recalled.
Every time the members of the Yongle Corps are stationed in Tianmen Mountain, the home of the Liu brothers becomes the "clothes factory" and "warehouse" of the guerrillas. The two Liu brothers help the guerrillas to purchase medicines from places such as , hongqiao, etc. , Salt, batteries, books and newspapers, and other supplies. The two sister-in-laws also helped to mend clothes and sew bullet bags. When the guerrillas were hungry, the two brothers of the Liu family went up the mountain to dig out the immature sweet potatoes they had grown and cooked them for the team members. Later, when Zhou Pizhen and Wang Quan met the descendants of the two brothers of the Liu family, they often lamented that "the sweet potato debt owed to your family has not yet been paid."
On October 26, 1945, Liu Chengzhang returned from the market and learned that the enemy was doing everything possible to search for the whereabouts of the guerrillas, so he told his brother and Zhou Xuwen, the guerrilla cook who had stayed at his home to recuperate. The three immediately carried weapons, ammunition and documents to the top of Tianzhu Rock and hid them, and moved into the cave that night. The next day they saw that there was no movement at the bottom of the mountain, and they came down the mountain, knowing that the enemy was hiding in the bamboo forest of the back mountain, and suddenly rushed out to tie up the Liu brothers and Zhou Xuwen, forcing them to confess the whereabouts of the guerrillas. They said in unison: "I don't know." The enemy put the bullet bags and paper bags found in Liu's house in front of them, and said, "Isn't this something from the guerrillas?" Liu Chengguang looked at it and said, "This is I picked it up when I was cutting wood on the mountain, and I don’t know who fell on the mountain.” It turned out that the day before yesterday was an emergency and the things were not completely organized.
The enemy could not say anything, and immediately set the Liu's cottage on fire, and brought the Liu brothers and Zhou Xuwen to the nearby Yangjiatian Village for interrogation. Liu Chengguang and Liu Chengzhang still insisted: "What kind of guerrilla, I really don't know." The enemy pointed to Zhou Xuwen and said, "Who is he?" The Liu brothers replied, "He is our mother-in-law. He came to my house as a guest. Yes." The enemy shot the Liu brothers to death, and Zhou Xuwen was released on bail.
